Unfortunately I know how red mage works. It was a SE mistake to give RDMs access to high-end swords. Excalibur belongs more on a PLD and WAR. Purely aesthetic and logical reasons. Yay for the rdm or whatever, but it's a knight's sword, the weaponskill is knights of the round, and King Arthur was a knight. I'd be 10 times happier if he equipped it for the first time as a paladin.

Not to rain on the parade, but he ruined the moment. He let a ****ing rdm pull excalibur out of the stone.

umm have you ever looked at a rdm af what it look like? that right 16centery mussketeers which where at that time knights. mussketeers belive in unity and chirvery just like the ways of king aurther all for one, one for all. rdm are just as knightly as pallys. in your logic darknight should be able to use this sword.

Feel free to look at the type of sword musketeers equipped and tell me if that looks like a knight's sword to you. A dark knight is more knightly than a rdm...

Why the hell are you arguing about whether or not the sword should have got to a RDM instead of a WAR or PLD?!?

It's not like it was a drop. This guy worked for it, himself. If a PLD or WAR wanted it, they should have worked as hard for it as the RDM did.

This is a great achievment for anyone and that RDM obviously spent a lot of time and effort working on it. It sounds more than a little like plain jealousy if you say 'shoulda gone to a PLD'.

A PLD who hasnt put the effort into getting Excalibur does not deserve it more than a RDM who has.
