Think about it this way:

PLD will use this 99% of the time. Only time they wouldn't is kiting with earth staff.

RDM will ONRY use this while soloing... how often do you solo? 50% of the time at most I'd say.

EDIT - Even though I think a pld could get more USE out of it, whoever wastes that much of there real life getting gil and items for it deserves it, pld, rdm, or someone who can't even use it *looks at odon* >.> <.<

no no no.. that's MNK Relic Weapon Odon doesn't even have the knuckles XD hehe.. oh well.. and RDM might use this a lot more than a PLD. PLDs tend to use earth staff more end game. At everything except Fafnir/Nidhogg. The rest is PLD Earth Staff please! So really.. there's no reason a PLD should get it more.

A RDM can actually put the sword to better use than a pld could. The additional effect that is proportionate to your health increases as your health decreses. A RDM can keep his health safely in yellow or lower, if he were so inclined, indefinetely with stoneskin, phalanx, blink (spell or utsu). Therefore allowing the RDM to deal more damage with that sword than a PLD could even dream of doing. It'd be a nice weapon for a PLD to have, but it is a great weapon in the hands of a RDM.

Also it sickens me that Peregrine can effectively hijack any thread he wants just by posting 4-5 words. Just ignore him people. It's not that hard.

What the hell is a non tanking mob?

With earth staff you'd take ~1200 dmg from that still, but at my current shield skill (25 from cap) I block about 1/2-1/3 of attacks, so that's 1000-1250 dmg... not much difference.

The last part confuses me... it seems as if you want to be sarcastic from the e-tone and the smiley at the end... but then you don't use sarcasm... wtf?

I don't tank byakko with earth staff and he's never done more than 900 to me w/ triple attack, even when they were all criticals and i didn't block.....go go ele being wrong :lol: i quite often take triple attack + razor fang and still have 300-400 HP left, he's not the beast you're making him out to be, seiyru and genbu are more dangerious (usually)

I dunno.. I've seen Cythe get one shotted by Byakko before XD I thought it was tripple attack. And this was Cythe with 1700+ HP (He has 2000+ now but doesn't seem to go down so easily )
