lol, yea i find this stupid as well... those people will end up playing more on bard than on thier main... A lot of new, crappy bards. Ive had bards unable to pull more than chain 6 in mamoolja staging points bacause they didnt want to die. Then ive had warriors that dont use provoke and prefer to let their brd or rdm puller die. "OMGorz, if i voke i will have to tank." Ive had nins that refuse that I sata them because they would end up tanking.. There are good monks , but those that take more dmg than they do are {too weak}. " I do ubber dmg, im a good DD" Yes but you suck cause you drain all our mages MP.

Now do a /sea all inv 75 at pike times. I have done this the past month and usually 75% of the jobs are nin war monk. The game starts to degenerate really. I gave up seeking on my main job (thief). Ive brought blm to 75 and i enjoy it, though im still a noob at it. BLM invite rate is even worse than thief, can you believe it? Good point is you can solo XP^^. So i can get merits on thf and blm all in one, whats more BLM is very demanded in end game.

Elegy + Threnody + stackable refresh + Haste songs + attack songs + Protective songs are all used in endgame. Elegy stacks with slow, and can't be reproduced by any job.

A bard is extremely useful in end game, like Jamal pointed out. And I'm really not too happy with the BRds who only level it so that they can get invites/merit parties faster. There really is no need to rush the job. Yes, you can get a party regardless of how sucky you are as a bard...but that shouldn't be allowed. More people need to understand that just because you have a bard in the party doesn't mean that it will always be a good thing. A gimp bard should never be allowed in a party.

And also..sometimes you can't chain higher than 6 in Mamool Ja because there are 3-4 other BRDs competing against you for the next mob ;o that's when you should move elsewhere.

man I cant stand when ppl in this game say things like OMGzorz and add lol onto words and such...I guess its cool to sound illiterate and like a little kid in this game. I think this topic would have been much better and useful if the it was more like, "Question about end-game bard," instead of sounding like your 12 years old...but I guess thats just what I think. One of my pet-peeves in this game.

The point was to emphasize that the bards criticized in the OP had the whole omgz0rz attitude (although granted, I use that same attitude myself when I'm trying to be silly), rather than that the OP actually had it themselves.

There's a certain BRD out there with an underlevelled subjob, who is, quite possibly, the worst bard I have ever merited with in my entire life. It just goes to show... some jobs are not for everyone.
