hai, Now since recently i've been having problems opening up folders with large amounts of pictures in them.. I open it up then I get " Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" This is VERY annoying, and It keeps closing the folder, making me unable to view the pictures. And yes my Comp is up to date with all the updates. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks if you can help :)

Enlarge your pagefile?

WinKey+Pause -> Advanced -> Performance (Settings) -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory (Change) -> make it bigger + Apply?

Also, check WinKey+R -> msconfig for unnecessary running startup programs. Programs loading at startup can hog resources like a bitch.

I'd say your best bet is to move some of the files out of the folder or switch the view from thumbnail view to list.

What version of windows do you have?

I tried that and It still closes when it's listed,I removed about 500 and same thing. And XP fully updated.
 
First and foremost, make sure you back your porn...I mean pictures up immediately. If Explorer's f'ing up, you don't want to take a chance and lose all your pictures.

Move them to another hard drive, and then try your troubleshooting.

I'm good with computers, but not that good..If you could say..Guide me in the right direction or help me step-by-step that would be most appreciated :)
 
If you have "thumbnail" view set, then generally not.

I had this problem 2 different times.

One time, my sister decided she was going to install every single font from Wordperfect on the system. I had to get it to <500 before my computer would do anything without taking a shit first, and internet explorer couldn't find the "Arial" font on my computer.

The other time was before I arranged all my music into seperate folders sorted by artist. It still had problems after that whenever I opened my Beatles folder, so I had to sort those by album as well. 8 gigs in 1 folder doesn't work very well. I had to make 2 folders to put different folders in for that one and keep it entirely seperate from the rest of my music.
 
Well, I tried moving it, but no luck, right when I open the file up it hits me with the error.
 
Could be windows explorer is fucked. You may need to reinstall any system files that got fucked.

open up a command prompt.

type:

sfc /scannow

Have your windows cd handy. If your using a hacked copy of windows, treat this as an update.

Or you could try an reinstalling your vid drivers. Or if some of those porn files have super duper long file names you could try shortening them.
