So as of last night nobody can say that I have never waited in line for 10 hours in sub 30 degree weather with no less than three hours of rain for a Nintendo Wii. I just happened to be driving past Best Buy last night around 1030pm and happened to see that the line was not very long. So after some lobbying of my friends I was riding with they dropped me off outside of Best Buy and went back to my apartment to fetch blankets and the like. I also called my brother and he and his girlfriend came out and camped with me even though I was the only person in our group that was buying one. My two original friends lasted until about 3am while my brother and his girlfriend stayed until around 430. I, however, stayed in the rain and the cold by myself huddled underneath a stranger's blankets until 8am, when they handed out tickets. Because of my spot in line I received ticket #23. And around an hour and a half later (they didn't let anybody in until 9am even though they handed out tickets at 8) I was walking, rather stiffly, towards my car. And I was carrying the most beautiful blue bag you could ever possibly imagine. I was so tired after staying up all night shivering that when I got home I fell asleep with the remote in my hands about an hour after I got home. So I didn't even get to play Zelda yet, because I tried out the little sports game that came with my system first.
I just wanted to share (read:brag) about my adventure last night. I do believe it is time to go play me a little Zelda.
(The quote of the night: "If those bastards from the Wal-mart line come over here let's get Wii-tarted on their asses.")
