I wake up from my nap, supposed to take 1 1/2 tablets of vicodin (750mg total) to kill pain and such, so I go upstairs, get a small glass of green tea, get the medicine bottle off the counter, and.....yay, one pill left.

What's wrong with only one left? Well, nothing at all, asides the fact that if I took the 1 1/2 tablet's worth four times a day as perscribed it's supposed to last halfway thru THURSDAY. Even worse, it'd last probably a bit longer than that since I skipped a dose one or two times due to napping on some days.

So now I'm stuck, best hope is Advil/Tylenol for the next 2-3 days. This f-!king sucks. Gonna take a random guess and say my mom randomly looted a couple pills without me noticing....and I sortof doubt I'll be able to afford a Vicodin refill..
 
My mommy gave me some super Tylenol when I broke my arm and had to get stitches, that shit was goooooooooood :)

believe it or not most vicodin is only 5 mg of a pain killer and like 750 mg of ibuprofren, it's very low end on the pain killer scale, so my advice to you is to just take some ibuprofren or something with that in it... uhhh how do i know this? i majored in street pharmeceuticals in college....
 
Apparantly iburofen increases the chance of heart attacks, used to take it a lot so im staying off that stuff now for sure
 
also breathing polluted air can shorten your life span.... damn NJ and the incredibly horrible air quality around here... that's it i'm holding my breath until i can find some better air
 
Ouch, that sucks. Sorry to hear that you dont have your pills. There is the other method of taking care of the pain... Jack Daniels, Do you have it?

You really wanna be downing any alcohol when you have four gaping holes in your mouth? =P stitches don't matter, I guaruntee that's gonna hurt like hell.

Depends on the liquor. Whiskey is good for pain, like some people used to (before all this politically correct parenting stuff came into focus) rub a bit of it on the gums of babies so they didn't cry all night while teething. Just thought I'd share taht with ya.

Tylenol #3 might help...has codine in it, which is a mild opiate/pain reliever. I think you need a prescription for it, however it's probably cheaper than a vicodin refill. God...I'm so so lucky that i have near perfect teeth, don't have to remove my wisdom :)
 
So... You might wanna sit down and have a talk with your mom about stealing your pain medication. Seems like a parent who would risk their child enduring pain and suffering needlessly isn't the best of parents, or they have a problem. Least she could have done was waited until you were done with them and taken any that were left.

Not that its any of my business.
 
Vicodin is a mix of Acetominaphen (Tylenol) and Hydrocodone, a narcotic. Hydrocodone, like all narcotics, is quite addictive. If your mom is ganking narcotics from you, then you need to have a serious chat with her.

In the meantime, if you need over-the-counter pain relief you can take up to 4 grams (or 4 extra-strength doses) of Acetominaphen per day, or up to 2400 mg of Ibuprofen each day safely. The Acetominaphen can also be bolstered with Naproxen Sodium (brand name Aleve) for an extra pain-relieving boost without any adverse reactions.
