One Piece, new dubs, new series?

They're airing the new dubs for one piece right now, and only 5 minutes in, I like it. Luffy's a little girlish, but his voice is still as carefree as it normally is. I'll have to wait to hear the shift when he goes from lunatic to badass to make a real judgement, but that'll be quite a while.

All in all, it's a FUCKTON better than the 4kids dub. This wasn't the best episode to really guage the differences between them; but the dialogue is significantly more believable and is more accurate from what little I remember from the subs that I saw so long ago.

Edit: just pieced Usopp's voice, it's Krillin from DBZ; kind of fitting for Usopp, and it goes along with Chris Sabot(Piccolo) as Zoro's voice.

yeah, I realized this too late. I caught the ending, noticed it wasn't the gay ass rap, and the preview. But it seems like Nami still has the same voice actor, if that was her talking at the end of the preview.

Not that thats bad. Some of the voices from the 4kids dub were okay. Hers and Zoros specifically. It's just that the script that was fucked up from their taint.
 
Yeah, Robin no longer sounds like a cowgirl and Sanji no longer sounds like he's got a cold the whole time. Both good improvements. Nami sounds pretty close to her 4kids actor, chopper is a little higher pitched than his 4kids voice; but they're pretty good.

The show's still funny as hell, just without the incredibly lame and unfunny jokes designed for kids who laugh at anything and everything.
 
I only caught the intro and ending sequences to this on YouTube, and ITS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

4Kids must be stopped! FUNimation ftw!
 
What episode are they starting these new dubs at?

Let's not forget what this means, aside from the awful writing and and retarded edits..

Uncut DVDs. 4Kids never releases these(for obvious reasons.) Funimation does.
 
So long as I don't ever have to see POISON SUCTION CUPS. I don't give a shit what they do to One Piece.
 
Listening to the 4Kids dub of One Piece kills brain cells.

It worse than hearing someone shout "LEEROOOY JENKINS!"

Thank god FUNimation made One Piece's new dub decent.

I really wanna watch it now =( Damn the UK's delayed release of any anime on TV!

The first episode they aired was where the crew first finds out about Skypeia, they met with the first salvage monkey and just got swallowed by the giant turtle.
