One Piece (ワンピース) Anime and manga discussion thread. (Contains Spoilers!)
Well, seeing as there are threads for Naruto and Bleach, why not One Piece?
Before I start, I'm gonna sum up the Thriller Bark arc of the story as best I can, the afterwards introduce the newest chapters of the story. Please correct me if I am mistaken on this summary.
While on they're way through the Florian Triangle to get to Fishman Island, The Strawhat crew discovered a barrel in the ocean which sets off a signal flare. Shortly after, they meet Brook - A Living Skeleton. Soon after they meet Brook, The Strawhats find themselves trapped in Thriller Bark. Nami, Chopper and Ussop soon depart on Franky's creation - The Mini-Merry - into Thriller Bark to investigate, however, they crash and are stranded on shore. After they crash onto the shore, they soon come across the path of a Cerberus... and run away. The rest of the crew then land upon shore and start the search for the missing crew members. After defeating several random Zombies and a large force of Zombie soldiers the Five Strawhats run into an old man who reveals the secret of Thriller Bark. It is the worlds largest pirate ship captained by Gecko Moria. After entering the Mansion Sanji and Zoro go missing. Luffy Franky and Robin are ambushed and Luffy is captured.
Meanwhile, Nami, Ussop and Chopper discover that Thriller Bark is the home of the famous Doktor Hogback, who vanished many years ago. He was working with Moria to create these zombies; Hogback creates the zombie bodies, and Moria steals people's shadows which are the "souls" to give, *ahem*, "life" to these zombies. The result is a much more powerful warrior that has the physical strength of the zombie with the personality and fighting skill of the shadow. Every zombie has a number assigned upon a band around their arm or on their body. So far, numbers 1-200 have consisted of Zombie Animals, 200-400 have been Surprise Zombies, 400-800 have been the Soldier Zombies and 800 onwards have been General Zombies. Unfortunately for Luffy and the rest of the crew that weren't ambushed, they've had they're shadows taken. Luffy's shadow has been placed into a HUGE zombie which has been named "Oz" and has been assigned the Number 900. However, as the Zombies are a product of the Devil Fruit, they are susceptible to the same weakness of a devil fruit User— in this case, the salt from the sea will "purify" them. Chopper and Ussop are then ambushed as well and had they shadows stolen, but its far worse for Nami, as she has been captured by Absalom of the Graveyard, who intends to marry her after his attempt on Robin failed as he prefers "Weak" girls.
The Straw Hats, minus Nami, having wound up back at the ship and having woken up Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji the crew is launching a counter attack to get back their shadows and Brook's and rescue Nami.
The battles begun like this:
NOTE:: Sanji manages to interrupt the wedding and defeat Absolom. However, one of Sanji's secret dreams is crushed as Absolom devours the Devil fruit which Sanji wanted to consume to peak on girls. The Suke Suke no mi (Clear Clear fruit).
However, during the battle between Moria and Luffy, Oz manages to force Thriller Bark to set sail. If Moria isn't defeated before The crew re-obtain they're shadows, they will disappear. Things were looking good for The Strawhats, until Oz attacked. Now with Nami recaptured by Absolom, the current battles stand like this:
NOTE:: Lola is an animal/human zombie which is in love with Absolom, hence why she (?) helps Nami defeat him.
NOTE:: It's more like a chase right now.
NOTE:: Oz has Luffy's gomu gomu no mi powers.
However, it seems that now, another Shichibukai, Bartholomew Kuma, has somehow teleported to Thriller Bark, and gives information to Moria about Blackbeard joining the Shichibukai, and offers assistance against Luffy and the Strawhats. Currently, Luffy has defeated Moria shadow, and soon meets with "The Rolling Pirates", who give Luffy information on Gecko Moria.
Well, thats all I can compile at the moment, now onto the current chapter::
The Rolling Pirate crew has confronted Luffy, claiming to have information vital to defeating Gecko Moria. The pirates found out that after zombies had been purified they could capture the escaping shadow by hand. They could also put the shadow into a crewmember, thereby augmenting that member's skills with the shadow's. After explaining they proceded to put a total of 100 shadows into Luffy making him grow enormous in size and giving him a new form, "Nightmare Luffy."
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew continue to fight Oz, who now has learned to use Luffy's Gomu gomu no mi powers more effectively and has (somehow) obtained the ability to stretch through Gecko Moria. Also, Nami has joined the battle against Oz and is trying to look for Luffy as well.
By Combining they're abilities, Brook seems to have drilled through Oz's shoulder and damaged him, with the chapter ending with Robin using her Devil Fruit powers to restrain Gecko Moria.

Brook vs Ryuma (The zombie possessing Brook's shadow):
NOTE:: During the battle with Ryuma, it is revealed that Brook and his crew were the ones who left Laboon on Reverse Mountain 50 years ago. Brook is defeated by Ryuma and Zoro takes over and wins in which Brook gets his shadow back.
