Well, smn is almost to 75. So I wanna start a new main I think.I've pretty much decided on leveling COR. But here is the question I purpose. What is the proper sub?

So far I've seen RNG and NIN subbed, both make sense. RNG for the added Marksmanship skill, NIN for the shadows for pulling and dual wielding daggers.

But, is there anyother jobs that could be used as viable subs? I was thinking possible BRD for extra buffs, but not sure how that would work. I see NIN as kinda over used, subbed for everything, I would still use it as sub if it was the best sub for the job, but just wondering if there is anyother sub possibilities.

RNG is more for sharpshot and the weaponskills, you don't get additional skill from your subjob.

The only other sub that I've seen in /WHM, making COR strictly a support job. BRD wouldn't work, since you can only give two song/roll buffs and your songs won't be worth singing.

/RNG. I've always felt, and still feel, that COR/WHM is kinda dumb in most normal settings.
This also lets you equip Gun Belt, which is coming down in price quite nicely lately actually.

Pulling with a gun is kinda annoyingly laggy, leave it to a person with a quicker pulling methode, and sub Rng. I partied with both, and saw absolutely ZERO merit in subbing nin. You don't pull hate, and you don't need dual wield.

Again, this is strictly from an observer's standpoint... The only reason I heard for subbing nin was for the supposed added accuracy form using a second archer knife, but that's outweighed by the ranger's merits and ability to use a Gun Belt; and pulling, which even if you were doing, you shouldn't be gettign hit anyways.

The only reason to sub nin is for if youre at a high level and have joyuse+ merc cris for faster tp gain or joyuse + trailers kukuri to get both raac and the faster tp.

My thoughts exactly on /NIN... especially considering 1 Accuracy Bonus trait from RNG > Archer's Knife.

Maybe at 75 when you've got gear to pull some hate and weapons to boost TP gain, but not before.

What he said. /nin offers you, at level 29, the chance to offhand another Archer's Knife for r.acc+10.

Or you could just /rng and get +10 melee and ranged accuracy at COR20/RNG10, along with Sharpshot, Scavenge (...), Camouflage or whatever it is, and eventually Barrage.

I think /rng gives another Accuracy Bonus at lv30, putting your total acc boost for melee and ranged at +21 from /rng alone.

edit: Mai you son of a bi-

Haven't unlocked any of the new jobs yet, so...
Do Cor get the ranged ws's? It seems like they should but... Hello SE, you never know.

At high levels /nin might be nice. Merc Kris + Joytoy and Martial Gun?
As long as they get slug shot w/o rng sub...

Yes, you get all the ranged MARKSMANSHIP weaponskils as a COR, and do not need to sub rng. However... I have seen the occasional COR use Joyeuse, and I have see the same COR miss more than it could be considered a boon. Picture a Bard Meleeing... Your skills are better spent elsewhere. A Melee COR is a dipshit that is too cheap to use bullets.

I just figured that with Delay: 612 on the martial gun a Cor might hit enough w/ dagger+sword to make up for the über delay on the gun.
But well, Dagger 256 and Sword 240 lol, on second thought... bullets 4tw ^^

Naw, you're not an Uber DD, you're a Brd with the ability to do some Damage is all. The biggest issue is that you will be in range of AoE's and thusly an MP sink. Anyway good luck.

CORs work better with the range of low delay guns implemented for them so they can shoot a fair few times between buffs; The Hexaguns, AF Trump Gun and Peacemeaker.

Yeah, Phraust's last post kinda reminded me of something I had forgot.
Cor aint really made to be a good dd, and taking another look at their skill caps surely put an end to my foolishness :P
