I was kind of thinking the same thing, but oranges and grapefruits are more round, whereas the fruit in question seems to have more of a puckered "Nipple-end", as would a lemon.

It does look like a lemon. Lemon's have that little nudge on either side of the fruit that makes it look like a football. LemonCat has that on top of his head.
