Out of the loop and in need of assistance

[Eilistrae]

I'm basically starting over from scratch, I don't have the Treasures expansion yet... I want to work either my smn or my brd and I wanted to know what the current acceptable equip is for either one of these two jobs.

More or less the same as it used to be: ToAU didn't significantly change the gear for either job. Biggest things that come to mind are additional hMP options (most of which are AH-buyable, so just keep an eye out) and an alternative -song casting time body piece for bards, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg like manteel does.

Keep in mind that the expansion *will* affect your levelling: most of the popular 50+ exp (and definitely merit) camps these days are in ToAU areas. (The older spots are as good as ever, it's just that ToAU mobs are extra squishy and thus often make for better exp/hr ... if you're not impacted by the crowding resulting from everyone *else* going to the ToAU camps too, anyway.)

The great thing about a game with content that never progresses is that your character's progression goes hand-in-hand with that.

All of that is pretty much still viable gear.

A qiqirn Sash (+1), beak necklace (+1) and antivenom earring would be good for some extra hmp.

But yes, it would be a huge benefit to get the expansion asap.

I will, probably after I make back the money to get my RDM gears back, so I can start making progress

thanks

Anyone have any suggestions for a lvl 45 brd? anything different or still mostly the same?
