Well, last March I fell at work and broke my back...restraining me pretty much to the house for my second most favorite season.... summer! :evil:
My husband had starting playing FFXI on the NA release and I would always bitch at him to stop playing and do something with me...I mean it was bad enough being constrained to the house and having ZERO adult conversation, but now he was ingulfed in this game. :evil: In May he went out and bought me the whole PS2 set-up and I got into the game...I could do so many things I couldn't do in RL....walking and running, being one of them. :? Anywho, I got into the game HARDCORE and soon it became part of my daily exsistence.
Well, a year later and much better than the position I was in a year ago, I really felt like I sorta just existed that past year. Like I had engulfed myself so much in the game, that I really watched everything pass me by. Now, before anyone gets pissed or before anyone thinks that I am being abrasive or hurtful; that's not what this is all about. FFXI gave me interraction with some great people and some real dinks...but it fulfilled the need for adult conversation when I was restricted to chair or bed.
So, even though I sorta sat around and just exisited...Thank you. Thank you to all that I have come across in the game, to all that have befriended me, to all that helped me along the way. I have decided to freeze my account and quit, who knows, maybe I will come back, but I am thinking not so much.
I want you all to know you will be missed. I love you all.
