I bought a new graphics card (GeForce 8500GT Fatal1ty edition or something) and it says it supports a 350w power supply(Which I have) and it claims to run on 850MHz, though it's currently on 425. If I overclock it to run at the advertised memory clock, would it increase the power consumption? I don't wanna fry my computer... So that's why I'm asking. Thanks in advanced <3

I'm pretty sure it just pushes the video card harder. Doesn't consume more power, but if anything it'll be about 50 watts. So it's not a HUGE deal, my power supply is 700w. The only thing you make sure you do, is keep the card cool. It will heat up more. I've had tearing occur on my basic desktop from it getting to hot. I would get a few more answers though.

Ok so.... I can't overclock it. >> Topic closed.
