Post how overclocked your system is :D

Personally I have my Athlon 64 X2 at 2475MHz and my 7800GTX (256mb) at 508/1.35. My 3DMark05 score was only 8797 but I don't have SLI yet or good thermal paste on my stuffs :(

No one probably cares >.>

Which X2?

My X2 is the 4400+ (toledo core), I'm using the Thermalright SP-90C I think the name is with a 92mm tornado fan controllered down to a reasonable sound level. Temps are 45-50ish C under load, low 30s idle. Vid card cooler is the Zalman Fatal1ty cooler. Temps are around 40s idle and 50-60s load (need new thermal paste though :()

Seems my voltage is just being a douche because I was having stability issues after just a day of having it that high at 1.65V (1.45V stock) so right now I have it at 220 FSB and 1.52V (2420MHz total)... kinda sucks. Anyone know if I can do anything about this? It's not temps because those never go above 55C. Maybe I'll try screwing around with voltage @ 1.55 (max on my mobo) and up the VID %.

What's over clocked? Does it have something to do with the guts of this magical box that lets me Play ffxi and watch porn?

Overclock=overkill, kinda. Like, way more than enough to play FFXI.

Sounds like you should loosen your timings on your RAM id thinkg but, im not a real overclocker expert. Go to overclockersclub.com and check out their forums, im sure they can help you more than I can if your trying to get a better overclock.

My Radeon 9500 Pro has a 9700 BIOS, so it runs at 9700 stock clockspeeds.

That's about it though.

My CPU sets off a warning alarm at stock speed if I leave the cover for my case closed. =) I don't fuck with that thing. Athlon XP 2100+.

what are your ram timeings, and have you tweaked the Cas or Ras any ?

example running DDR 400 on a low Cas 2.5 at 4,8,8 timeing but with high volt on CPU can cause lock ups when your trying to brute force the multiplyers. Try upping the Cas and lowering the Ras timeing and lowering the voltages because those are way too high for that clock speed.

what kind of ram do you have ? if your OCing sometimes it really pays to spend the extra for Corsair or Mushkin <3 Lifetime Warantys. Also what mobo, I'm gunna go out on a limb and say iether a lan party or an Asus from the voltages.

2-3-2-5 stock. OCZ Platinum Dual Channel PC3200 512mb x2.

Lan party mobo lol DFI SLI-Deluxe Expert I think the name is. It's hot. Although that ASUS one is pretty sweet too.

Not that good. You should check into dual moniters for that :p Overclocking for a computer is the equivalent of a human smoking. Shaves lifetime down the pooper for the majority but some get lucky.

^^; being an IT you get to know these things.

Anyway, try upping the Cas timeing to 2.5 you should be able to tighten the Ras even more to something like 2-2-5 or so you'll loose a little in Ram preformance but it will not be noticable and you'll be able to push higher multipliers, and lower the voltage with less lock ups. Hope that helps. Also if your looking for OCing help and how to's I sudgest here : http://www.hardforum.com/ very helpfull lot, and very knowlagable. Also you can find me on there from time to time, and see some of my projects.

I never wander in this section of the board ...

Anyways a quick tip if you are OC'ing, Try to not worry so much about your Clock Speed for preformance, and try instead to lower your latencies. A computer with a clean ratio will always wipe the floor of a decently(Not insanely) OC'd system.

For instance: I got my buddy's Benchmarks to increase by 10% by UNDERCLOCKING his rig.

Back in the day(I have since grown out of the OC'ing phase of my nerdyness) the PCI clock was 33/66, AGP was 66, and the Memory bus was 333(166DDR).
He had altered his system to be out of sync with the Proc ripping through Data but so way to tell the rest of the computer what it's done.

It's been a while, and the busses have all since changed formats(PCI to PCI-E etc...)

Blah... Blah... Blah....
Work Smarter, not harder etc...

While this would be true with single core dual core is a bit trickier.
