Music "Overcome" - All That Remains

Anyone else an ATR fan? Only recently really started getting into them, but I just downloaded the new album... and I have to say it is amazing. Labonte switched up his vocals, and I think it sounds great.

My only gripe with the album is that the middle section of the album kind of runs together. All the songs rock, but they're a bit too similar. But the first section and last few songs are awesome. "Two Weeks" has been on repeat all day, holy shit that song is good.

Thoughts?

How did he switch his vocals? I hope he didnt start yelling instead of screaming, I hate that so much. I do love ATR tho. This Calling is my ringtone and my alarm cause theres nothing like getting woken up to some dude belting out a scream in your ear at 6:30 in the morning.

He uses clean vocals a bit more, plus he's changed the tone of his voice a bit. But it's not a bad change, however easily noticeable if you've listened to earlier work.

Ok good. Hes got a decent voice and as long as the music is still just as good I'll pick it up. Thanks for the tip cause I usually don't find out about new music that I like til I walk around best buy looking at the new stuff that comes out.

I know "Six" is on GHII, and I was ridiculously happy when I found it. What other ATR songs are in the games?

This Calling, Chiron, and Two Weeks were released as Rock Band DLC.

Haven't liked anything they've done after "This Darkened Heart". After that, they went south, bad. I got a few copies sent to me last month and craked and almost broke my fist on the wall... The vocal change is T E R R I B L E and they put back some of their skill in guitar. Had they kept the vocals like they normally do they'd have reverted back to bein' good. However, it's the fate of all American bands who play this style, past few years at least. If they don't suck out of the shoot, they'll eventually get there (*cough* Shadows Fall).

I was disappointed in ATR by this album. I felt the last album was alot better with songs like Tattered on my sleeve and this darkened heart. Off of Chiron i only like Two Weeks.
