Some may PL their friends, gf/bf, siblings, etc. for free, or if they are offered a set amount of gil per hour or for an entire time, then they'll PL that way.

Just a question. What's the highest amount of gil you've ever gotten paid for to PL if you ever have PLed and received gil.

Last week. One of my friends from my LS was ptying in Garlaige Citadel and her pty's puller kept pulling links of bats. There were two nins in that pty too, but both nins (one being her) didn't want to die so she desperately wanted a PL there and asked me in the LS to come out there and PL them as soon as I got home from work.

She offered to buy me anything 4 mil and under if I came, so of course I figured that's very rewarding and came there. Mind you though, I asked my girlfriend to come along too to hang out too since PLering is so boring to me, and she's a high lvl rdm too.

After PLering for 2 or 3 hours at the end of it we both received 2 mil each from my LS member which is quite a lot to PL in my opinion. Maybe some got paid more to PL, but that is and will probably be the most I ever got paid to PL.

I dunno. I only have been asked to powerlevel a group once and I was a monk. So I just laughed at him and /shutdown.

Yah, I would never take ppl's gil to PL cause I wouldnt PL in the first place. This is the reason there are so many higher lvl ppl out there that dont know how to do their job. They took a shortcut and now they think just cause they took another job to 75 themselves, they automaticly are masters of this job they got PL'd in. >.>

4m is a crapload....but really, unless you know the person pretty well and know that they'd adapt to things quickly, I wouldn't recommend it.

I've PL quite a few people in Ghelsba recently, and asked nothing in return. I'm sure they will pay me back some day, if not karma will take care of me.

One thing I do is 'adopt a newb'. I find someone lvl'in in West Ron that has a sub job, and some rank under their belt, to make sure they aren't complete noobs. I'll then just ask them if they need some help getting to Dunes lvl, and take em to kill some orc.

I don't think I would ever accept gil for such an easy favor.

PL-ing is for da noobs.

However 4 mil is a lot. The question I'd be asking is...how does someone have 4 mil to blow just for a tiny exp session of 2 hours?

4 mill to PL? /em whips out the DRK/RDM <Where?>

I've PL'd a few LS members through 1-10 on a mage job. Since, it can be difficult (but not impossible) for free. I, however, detest PL's in any other form.

Pair of Leaping Boots

I got offered a pair of leaping boots if I brought this noob Usekimamoto(highest job = 20) from Sandy to Windy with no deaths. I knew he was a gilbuyer, and was gonna take him up on offer (I figured after camping lizzy and no drops I deserved boots more than this noob) but when he asked I was busy so I missed chance. He ended up paying someone 1 mil gil for the walk.

Often times I will go sit next to a friend's party as BLM/WHM and just make sure nothing kills them and take care of links. I make sure to tell the party I'm not PL'ing and instruct them not to pull anything they wouldn't if I wasn't there.

I typically refuse receiving PL's through the dunes (75% of all parties there have a PL now). If one comes I usually ask them not to PL, and my party usually gets mad at me for it. Or at the most just babysit the party like I do.

I don't like PLing for the most part. Remember all those times you get to the jungles or garlaige or crawler's nest and you have a tank that doesn't know how to provoke, a healer that can't heal, or a DD that can't control their hate? Remember asking yourself "How did they get to this level and not learn a damn thing?" Well guess what. It's because they were powerleveled since lvl 10 and never had to learn any of that because the PL would tank/heal/control hate all the time. And even if you say "Well, I'm a high level such-and-such I already know how to do any of this" there's 5 other people in your party that may not know.

Finally, I feel that if you need a PL, your party is too gimped and should be reworked anyway. However, if you're cruising through mobs just fine and getting proper chains and everyone knows what their doing, a PL to help speed things up even more is okay by me.

I haven't charged for a pl even if some random person is /shouting 20k a lvl or someting i do it for free anyway

My thoughts are if an ls mate or a friend is in the dunes and wants to party, but they can't get a whm i'll go pl them and just let them have essentially 6 dd's since finding a whm in the dunes is so hard anyways. I'll only do this if there is NO whm, because as a whm when i went through the dunes, I already knew how to play my job, could keep the party alive, and all that great jazz. Then out of the blue after we're doing just fine someone announces there's a PL on the way. Everyone shouts ahd w00t's it up and i'm sitting in the back thinking "well there goes any chance of leveling healing magic." So really I'll let a whm learn from a hands on experience, but I wount trump their job in the dunes.

I got paid 10k to PL and an additional 10k per every level gained. It was from a lvl 9 NIN who just wanted to get Utsusemi solo before going to the dunes.

The most I usually do is make unsafe zones safe. In qufim for example, I'll kill unwanted undead that make life difficult for parties. I won't stand around and cure, but in the event that someone has a good party, it won't be made worse by events outside their control.

10mil to level a friend to 37.

Well I personally don't like a PL when im in a party. The only time ive ever liked being PL'd when one of my LS friends wanted to hang out and i took out my lvl 12 thf and went to the dunes. Mind you its rather funny trying to kill lizzies at lvl 12 with a mid lvl whm just healing. and that was just to get my thf to 15 for treasure hunter for farming.

hmmm 4 mil for a pl in garliage... i think that is an offer no one will refuse that is like 60-100k a lvl in that place

I always PL for free in Valkurm, Qufim and Yuhtunga since I'm not leveling any jobs ATM. So if you see me in one of those places and need a PL just ask

Never charged. Never paid. But if someone offered me 4mil to sit around and babysit you can bet your ass i'd come runnin.
