Paladin Artifact Armor Question Please help me

For about a month now I have been trying to get my Gallant Surcoat and Today I had the best oportunity to do it.

My question is Do you need to do th Castle Zlatz Bailey Coffer before you do the Davio Part of the quest. Because at Allakhazam There are multiplie post on how people have done it before they got their coffer.

But the reason i ask this is because I had a Group about ready to set out to kill the Orc NMs and my freind who was helping to organizr the event was told that he could do it since he didnt have his paintbrush yet.

Can someone please help me casue im about to give up and quit PLD if i cant get this done within the next few weeks.

you can do all the "Quest" AF before doing the coffers if you want. All that matters is that you've done the quests before it (AF weapon, and first AF quest) and have done all the stuff you're suposed to do before fighting the NMs.

If I remeber right, you have to get an item out of the Zvhal coffer to be able to pop the monster for the AF in Davoi.

You need the paintbrush from castle Zvahl coffer to get blank paper to trade to well for body af.

I understand that you need to paintbrush to get the paper but do you need the paper to spawn the NM's to get the well weight?

cause ive heard off people getting their well weights before they get their Coffer from Castle Zlats Baileys to get the paintbrush?

like Since i already have my paper could i spawn the nm. Then let my Buddy have the weight? then spawn it agian for my weight?

Cause i know the Well weight is a Rare/EX item so might it be possible?

not to be an ass, but i'd stop trying to find some cheap-ass way around doing the quest the way its supposed to be done.

Just do the quest, step by step, and negate all this "so-and-so said blah-blah-blah". If you need help fighting the NM's, look me up. If you need to find the Coffer, just go in with WHM or RDM sub for sneak and invis and camp the coffer pops.

As for the PLD body AF... if you can just get a key in Zvahl, the coffer finding bit is incredibly easy. Much like Beadeaux in that respect.
