palmOne LifeDrive Mobile Manager, anyone have one of those?
Good buy? Reasonable battery life? Dead pixels? Any feedback at all?
I am in the market for something that runs Palm OS 3.5+ or Pocket PC OS 3.0+. I never had a palm thingy before, and I don't foresee them being all that useful, still, I need to buy one.
Wireless functionality would be great, preferably in such a way that I can just connect to regular wireless networks as well as WEP secured ones.
The ability to transfer SD card content onto the handheld is a must if the handheld can actually hold more than 1GB of data.
Price is somewhat of an issue, I wouldn't want to spend 449 (list) on the LifeDrive if it's not a good value, but then again, I just don't know enough about it.
I will be using the handheld as daily planner, address book, pic storage from SD while on the road, job/task related notes. I don't see myself using it to work on powerpoint or excel files, I don't see myself reading ebooks (beyond reference texts) either.
I could imagine tossing my Dell DJ and using the handheld as MP3 player if the battery life is any good, I wouldn't want to carry a couple things around.
Ah well ..., I guess I need to troll some PDA boards to find out what's any good.
