Pandemonium Warden medical ward.

No, but you can change weapons before the charm phase begins.

Also, relic weapons (1dmg, 999 delay) often works better than barehaded, since the high delay will greatly reduce swing time, and 1dmg is about as low as you can get. Also works better than barehanded if the person has halfway decent hand-to-hand, which most people usually do, either from leveling monk, or doing salvage. Sure barehanded won't do much damage, but it'll still strip shadows.

It's not the same trigger conditions, he didn't use it until under 30%HP and then used it twice very quickly (less than 3 min between).

The salvage chariot usually will charm a few people when it is being triggered. it can be time base but usually we got at least 2 tank and maybe a mage got charm.

LBC will always *turn* toward the person it wants to charm. thats when you hit the macro. Plenty of time.

something i forgot to add to help our next fight but we should work a different strat or different guidelines with certain forms underneath depending on the nm and lamps

i read on the TAU nms Gulool Ja Ja seems to be kinda special in his overthrow ability

how do you guys (KFC) handle the Chariot nms? At PW the lamps seemed to use only one ws.

on first form which we can confirm is Long Arm the lamps used only antigravity(90% sure) aoe para

the second form which was also a chariot used the missle ws(not sure of this someone in ls chat mentioned this) and the lamps used the lazer ws

there are of course many other different forms for PW some easy some not, the dahak lamps could easily give trouble quick when hydra appears

Antigravity is AoE ... gravity, I thought, based on my experience with Armed Gears only, unless that ZNM was special...

Also, while I did see it use Antigravity, the range on that is actually very small. I'm very certain it used Rail Cannon most of the time (huge range, there's no other explaination for the heavy damage and casualties suffered). Well, and I saw lots of lasers flying around. I wasn't very close but I knew I got hit by it a few times to know it was Rail Cannon for sure.

However, I didn't see what the main NM used. I was closer to lamps most of the time rather than PW itself.

Another alternative is Wooden Katana (if they have it), since most people won't have much, if any GK skill to speak of. It'd have less delay than a relic weapon but much less attack/accuracy, so I think it could be even less of a threat. Though Relic might still be better due to the massive delay, not sure.

yeah you're right, but i was definitely paralyzed by something...checked the wiki page on gears couldn't find anything, could've been too close to PW or something while he wandered.

To the sacers on the second chariot form(?) for tossing dots the lamps would always aggro and use rail cannon.

really wishing i took a pic of the second form could figure out what it was

Discharge is the Paralyze move and is used by all chariots, not Gears. Rail Canon is an AoE move used by Gear and Gears, and is different in strange depending on how many gears are in the gear form. 3 gears is 20+ AoE range and does huge damage and wipes shadows. In 2 gears it is conal and ignores shadows, and in 1-gear it is single target and ignores shadows. Antigravity is an AoE move that causes gravity, and Gravitational Field (I believe that's the name) does the same damage as Antigravity, but has knock-back instead. They also have Restoral, which restores HP as well as a gear if its a triple-gear type gear. Gears lose a gear every 50%, as in 50 > 25, and if restoral, > 12%.

Long-Armed's special ability is Brain Jack. Once used, he will use it several times in succession for roughly 90 seconds. This Charm causes a 25/tick DoT as well, which means you can't sleep them.

Long-Bowed's special ability is Homing Missiles. This move does 90% of the target's current HP in damage, as well as resets hate. For that reason, it is usually best to leave the mages in AoE range of Homing Missiles, as your mages will be raped if it goes of. This move is only used if the target is in front of him, though, so it is best to tank it to the side and constantly move, as to never be in front of him. If one goes of, it is wise to leave a stunner ready to stun the move. People claim the move has a 10' radius around the target, but I can swear I've been hit outside of this range.

Battleclad Chariot's special move is Discoid. This move has a a 10' radius around the target. Therefor, it is good to have the tanks tank at max melee range, and leave the mages within 9.0-9,9 radius from the tanks (tanks need to tank on top of eachother). By standing to at a 45% defree away from the boss, the mages can avodi the frontal ray move as well as all the other AoE moves, and still eb in range of Discoid.

Armored Chariot has Mortal Revolution. This is a physical move that wipes 3 shadows and stuns whoever it hits, and also has a strong knockback. As long as it clears more then 2 shadows, it does minimal damage, but with no shadows it can do over 1200 damage.

I've been playign the game just as long as yo are, most liekly longer, so you cna just stop with the high and mighty attitude right now. I understand the way the game works, Just because I haven't fought PW doesn't mean I can't toss out ideas to aid in the contemplation of how to take down this monster.

I still feel PW, and AV preupdate, are not average HNMs, thus have some key weakness we're missing, it totally follows SE's pattern, considering the fact they expect you to take him down in 2 hours, there must be something.

His charm move appears to be very deadly, mayhaps stacking resist charm gear on the tanks? Or just walk in with lv 1 weapons, cause in all seriousness, the main weapon slot is probably one of the least important slots for a pld, cept maybe the ranged slot, lol.

Considering all the means a tank uses to gt hate, specifically plds, dot is their lowest emnitty generator.

Anyone know if 3-4 pld's using invincible is generates enough hate to stop PW fromr ansacking 13-14 blm/rdms 2 houring? It may be possible to have the tansk out of range, maybe have 2-3 guys run in and take the stun, then the pldss charge in, all voke/2 hour spam every dman thing they got, then have the blm's and rdms 2 hour and pray you blow him to smithereens before he form changes.

Toss in a couple smns, rngs, and basically any job that deals a huge amoutn of daage in short time via 2 hour. How about 8 astral flows? =o

Since you've been playing for so long, I would "assume" that you would understand how enmity, or even invincible works, but I made an ass of myself thinking that.

I don't care who the pld is, or how much Enmity+ they have. 1 blm can strip hate off invincible very easily without even really trying. Invincible is never, EVER, guaranteed hate, period. Also, enmity is not shared by pld's in the same party so invincibles wouldn't stack.

If you are seriously going to add to the discussion then do your homework on game mechanics and the ZNM in question.

To Hmk.

I don't think holding "A" gear would be much of a problem with shadows. Might even be possible to hold a couple by kiting and using voke/flash.

A pld/war could grab 2 gears, while a combination of war/nin's or nin/war's grab the remaining 6. Using an /assist order(similiar to JoL's pops) kill off the gears held by war/nin's first, followed by nin/war's, and finally the remaining 2 off the pld.

Depending on how well hate is established from the initial voke/flash of the pld, they may be able to grab the rest of the gears off the nins and wars.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to tell if the gears used shared hate as was mentioned earlier in the thread, but from what I witnessed, they did not. So actions would have to be used to keep them off the PW tank/s.

Peace,
Shmed

dumb question here but what happens if there are more than 8, would you need more plds then or can they supertank more?
