Have you ever used a jailer weapon? Without stones they attack normally. With stones they gain the ability to double attack.

It's a pain to split threads, but i'm working on it. Especially when it's spread over a few pages, with my 40 posts/page.

How...? He clearly said they only attack with stones, which is not true.

Well you know that there are no weapons that just don't attack, and if you look at what was quoted it's even more clear.

Just because you and I know that doesn't mean he does.

He clearly said those weapons don't work without the stones and that stones don't make it attack more.

PW questions

I was wondering if the LS that did the 18 hour fight tried using sch/rdm to AOE gravity the forms with speed movement, or even AOE bind. Sorry my sch is not high enough yet to know if you can AoE those spells, so please if you are sch 75 let me know.

As for the TP build a party with a cor and a monk can get monks roll which reduces TP a monster gains <does bard have a similar song type?> (bard lv 1 here sorry). Anychance drks were there to drain TP? I would think it would help to remove as much tp build up as possible. Sorry in all the spam on this page I did not see a list of jobs they had in on the fight. If there is a list somewhere please let me know so I can look at it.

I do know SOME linkshells do not bring what they think of as lol jobs. I do know 75 puppetmasters that merit the mage frame skills can put out as much dmg as normal blms, if not more depending on gear and skills, but without needing the mp resting. When the lamps are popped, do they pop claimed? if they can be pulled by outside party members, would an alliance with say bard, cor<or rdm>, 4 smn, bard, cor, blms, and bard, cor, sch and tanks be able to take them out easier? I am sure a LS would mis the jobs as needed to get the most out of the cor rolls. These are just random ideas, I am sure others have thought of them.

Was there SC's and MB set for PW? I do recall SE saying they wanted people to use SC and MB more. MBing is supposed to have a higher chance of going through unresisted. idk if it was a rumor also, but there was said to be a way to have a MB spell like flare add the burn effect. I know with dynamis relic weapons you can cause double tier 3 SC, so back to back MB's on light and darkness. I watched a monk and drk make darkness where the darks ws hit almost 2k with the darkness effect adding another 2k. This was on a salvage boss. I also know it is possible for a GOOD pup to solo light, mind you if they do it wrong they just die.

I doubt i could sit down and watch a 18 hour frapped version of the fight, so it is hard to know what they did. Please keep in mind part of the 18 fighting was them adjusting to monsters, so a shell going in now probably would take less time as they know atleast 18 of the forms. Biggest issue I can see is hate control. Anyway IF there is a shell serious about wanting to beat this I am game to try. Serious would be with meds/foods/ strategy.
 
Well I know that they all call for helped on the lamps and then had a huge # of people work on them while their was an alliance devoted for the tanks holding PW.

I believe they said the lamps popped claimed to the tank alliance and that the tank alliance call for helped on the lamps. I don't know if the lamps also draw in but I would assume so, so I don't know how effective putting gravity or bind on them would be.

I'll read over the thread again at the new entries after work and try to answer more of your questions.
 
I've read that the title thing was used for this. ie; going in with titles after killing the corrasponing NMs outside of PW.
But i noticed the last half of the forms are directly linked to the last 5/6 ZNMs on the tree system before PW.
Any news if various seals and/or items were on the person/persons who popped PW?
I remember the previous attempts had a different line of NMs, or their NMs list may have had some removed because of this.
