Ok so I'm sitting in Jeuno lfg and doing some studying in the meantime. I get two invites almost at the exact same time the first from Pandetech and another from a Jp who's name i forget and who i am desperatley sorry I didnt accept. Pande was first so I went ahead and accepted. I was the first member. Very soon the pt was together as thf/nin, thf/war, nin/war, blm/whm, blm/whm, whm/smn (way underleveled and also Pandetech). I tell him to drop me and find another tank for nin. He says well lets try it. We go to Shitadel and Pande starts saying some random shouts that i ignore. We start off and are doing pretty shitty, no suprise. I hadnt gone to Shitadel so other thf though it would be better for him to pull which i agreed with and I worked out a Sata strategy to work off of. A couple of times we actually did ok. But usually it was just crappy. We decide to switch it up and i go and pull a Seige bat, now it was kinda far but I didnt see the Wingrats or whatever and they link onto it, I didnt even know there was a link till i got to camp and i ate it. My bad, the other thf said it was his fault for not staying puller i said it was my fault no big deal. Pretty soon we disband and Pandetech calls us all fools. Now Pande made a bad pt, maybe my fault for not just leaving, but he was obnoxious, never healed the puller before he left, didnt even have protectra 2, only cast protect 2 on the melee, no shellra, not even protectra, was an all-around idiot, and right as we d'b outside citadel got aggroed and and zoned leaving a gob by all our pt members that were resting. I logged out right after that happened so i didnt get aggro. Avoid this terrible player at all costs.

I didn't read the whole thing (hurts). But Pande was also spamming
/poke to the gambling casino guy.

casino guy. some other annoying spammer, and Pande were all /blisted
by a ton of people tonight. The casino guy kept spamming a 3 line ad for
his crappy casino.
 
He has a life. That's why his sub is like level 10, when his main is around 36. I asked. Nothing more need be said.

If you "Have a life" and can't commit to playing a game like FFXI (any mmo really) where you are suppose to develope your character in order to advance (much like any game, but with mmo's it tends to take longer) then perhaps you should quit if you lack the free time to make your character useful. These games (mmo's/mmorpg's) are not games you can just pick up and play for 30 minutes or an hour a day and expect to accomplish much. These are games that require a large amount of time to be devoted to them, it's simply the way they are designed.

At the start of FFXI you can get away with that kind of playing as pretty much from level 1-20 or even up to 30ish you don't nessicarily have to stick with a party for hours on end to gets some good exp (assuming its a good party). Heck, levels 1-10 are easily soloable (if you arent a whm) and allow you to play at your own pace since your not playing with other people.

Though later on you simply can't expect to get anywhere or accomplish anything if all you can put forth in time is an hour or less. For christ sake, why don't people realize this? You don't do anything but hurt your chances at even getting a party, and then when you do get one you can't even provide the full extent of your abilities that others who took the time to better themselves CAN do. There just isnt any excuse. If you want to play a job, take the freaking time to level up a suitable sub. If you're afraid that will take time away from your ability to level your main job up.. you're sorely mistaken. It will help you more than you realize. People who know what they are doing will pick you first before they pick someone with an underleveled/inapropriate sub.

If going through the dunes is too much of a pain in your ass then get some buddies together and go somewhere else, what's that? You don't have any buddies? That's probably because your a dumbass and nobody likes you. Go through the dunes then. Valkrum Dunes really isnt that bad if you know what your doing. Hell ive been through there quite a few times, still have to go back if I want to advance certain jobs, but you know what? I'm fine with that, if that's what I have to do to level a job up, then that's what i'll do, plain and simple.

I have a life too. I have a job. I have a wife. I have many many other factors in my life! As do hundreds of thousands of other players in this game. And you don't see any of us saying oh we have a life! And useing that as a sad sack cruch for being too fucking lazy to do shit right!! The kid is a fucking peice of shit that should be run over on site, with extreeme pregidece!

leveling a job to 37 doesn't take all that much effort really... it's nothing compared to getting a job from 70-75 >< and generally no one cares if you suck at that level cause they figure you to be a noob right away for some reason O.o (not that I dun show any effort mind joo.. but ya ^^v) I still have to get my WAR and NIN up to 37 atleast >< and then mah THFy to 37 too.. weee!! ^^v
 
Edit: errg >< stupid no edit button.. just wanted to note I have college, a love of my own and friends whom I do lots with and I dun have trouble with playing maybe 3 hours a day and getting a sub job up to 37 within atleast a month XD ^^v
 
I have only 5 people on my blist. Pandetech is one of them. It was a loooooong ship ride from Selbina to Mhaura with Pande spamming /shouts.

Just wanted to give ya a tip. BATS ARE STUPID!! :lol:

Ok, to expound on that. I have done some pulling in GC (Sunday Static Goodness! WooT!) and I can tell you, and all pullers for that matter, dont pull a bat if it is across a hole. Conventional logic suggests that, "hey, these are bats, they'll just fly over the hole, right?" Not in FF! Sure Fish can chase you through sand and Gobs can run up/through walls and trees, but bats CAN'T fly over holes! What happens is, they will cut through the rooms to go around the hole, linking the wingrats in the room in the process.

Sorry, I know this doesn't really fit in with the flame, just thought I would help you for next time.

Thanks alanon, I assure I learned that after doing it one more time :p. Its pretty ridiculoous in there with 4 people standing around waiting for something to pop ><.
