Was okay. Really surreal and such. Not quite my thing, but I still thought it was good.

Loved that j-pop song they played throughout the movie. All and all: it was cute. It has psycho-babble/low-toned love in it, with catch visuals and a sexual overtone to it all.
Its a B+ in my book.

As far as Satoshi Kon goes, it is more of a fun movie like Millennium Actress or Tokyo Godfathers rather than a psychological thriller like Perfect Blue. Its sort of frustrating because the premise is quite interesting, but it doesn't really develop it deeply and instead focuses on the action portions as well as the surreal visuals they can get away with by having the narrative set in people's subconscious.

Generally I prefer his works more along the line of Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent, but if you enjoyed Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress more, you'll probably have a good time with it.
