Parade Gorget, the secret is finally revealed

Yeah, cause we all know all the CoP ENM latent effect weapons sucked hardcore.
OK so thats what a year ago? Considering how many latent effect items there are and how many of em are near impossible to get to work safely I'd say thats still a pretty low ratio of bad latent effect items/good latent effect items

Touche'
OK so good items that have nice latents...
Parade gorget.
bane chakrams( i only really liked the crit+ one as a good one but the others are decent i guess)
enm weapons
garrison weapons ( few are good at least) Mighty knife is godly on windsday
Some avatar rings lightning ring , flame ring
A small percentage of the SJ Items
Small percentage of JSE latent items e.g medicine ring
Hercules ring
Treat staff during haloween
Pitchfork when you have a giant supply of mochi
Sam JSE (I think its latents are active during ws)
Unicorn gear
That torque that gives str+4 and vit+ 4 when a song is active
Melody rings
Minuet earring

And i used em as an example of a good item for all jobs that dont have a better alternative.

Mnk don't exactly have alot of good stuff in the ranged/ammo slot that i know of. At the very least it allows em to pull without using voke or chi blast from a distance and gives a good VIT mod for a short while if you have the IS to burn.
Same with drg before angon or what.
Not sure what to say about the MAB one. I'd think the mab+5 was pretty good for a blm.

Of course since I can never find a straight answer on what affects these weapons i cant judge em too harshly yet( just being in the region or only in the specific stronhold zone)

Cmon i know you guys wanna try out snakeeye.

Zone only. Definitely not region. If it were Region, the only areas they wouldn't work would be Bhaflau, Undersea Ruins areas, and Al Zhabi during besieged.

But they don't work in Caedarva, Wajaom, Zhaoylm or Aydeewa.

Ah ok then they definetly suck unless a job that doesn't have any other throwing weapons wants to pull.

Most of the ingrediants in the Goblin Drink recipie are uber cheap...except the Elshimo Newt. 20k at the Jeuno AH, ouch. ><

Anyone know where to farm/fish one up or if there's a npc somewhere that sells them?

At least I know a level 99 cook so making them won't be a problem. ^^b

Brook, Rivulet, and whatever the other one at that level is, Sahagin drop them. Also fished up from the underground pools in Yuhtungha, I think.

Time for me to slaughter some fishmen then. Thanks!

elshimo newts are 20k right now? Wow, maybe I need to bust out a fishing rod and go make some gilzors.

In other news, I totally want one of these for my loldrk!

I could see them spiking up as people crank out drinks to people for the Wolfman, since it's not a 100% drop.

they were 1k each before I posted this xD

They drop pretty often off the Sahags, I always got a ton whenever I camped Fyuu...

phanauet newt can be substituted in for elshimo in this recipe

;)

Yeah you can easily kill the sahagins right near the Gold Beastcoin door in SSG. I got about 4 in 15 mins.

There's a SS on KI for elshimo newts going from 200k to 1k on the AH in the matter of an hour...

As for the gorget, my experimentations led me to believe latent trigger is around 85% hp activation. So not useful in straight up tanking situations by anymeans. Does it reduce downtime between fights? Yes. Is it still a situational piece at best? Yes.

Nothing too special for sure, but nice to have. I'd say more useful for DRKs when you aren't in combat since they use MP less then PLDs.

/poke Jamal!

/em was defeated by the Crosis.

I'm thinking I should have replied to your post on the BLM ring thread saying that you believe in elemental rings like staves now...Thunder Rings for Lightning spells, Flame Rings for Fire... :) :) :)
