Part of me says its wrong to take someones children based on what you named them, but the other part of me says these idiots showed themselves as completely incapable of raising children when they named their son Adolf Hitler, and their daughter Aryan Nation.

My favorite part
"The parents insist they're not racists and want only to honor the heritage of the Third Reich."

Uh, the other was how the kid was not made a birthday cake cause of his name. this is how the retarded parents got the kids taken away.

Obviously, people shouldn't have their children taken away from them for something as silly as this. Only extreme cases of abuse or neglect that can be proven without a doubt should ever be subject to the terrible act of removing a parent from it's child and thus creating an orphan. It's sad to see people have the authority to do things like this over baseless accusations. It's clearly a violation of human rights.

This actually hits a little close to home because people in my family that disliked my mother constantly accused her of abusing me and my sister and as a result the Department of Family and Children Services harassed my mother through "investigations" during most of my childhood.

Yea, as much as you may hate how these people think, it is completely unacceptable for any children to be orphaned because their parents named them Adolf Hitler. Idk if thats the onlry reason, but as busta said it is a gross violation of human rights (and I would say the first amendment maybe?) to say these people cannot name their children what they want (unless it was "Fuck" or something like that). I have a hard time believing taking the children away would be legal based on their parents beliefs.

That said, I would love to see the day where having children is regulated. Some people should not be allowed to have children or continue to have children. Think the movie "Idiocracy," its not all that far fetched of a reality.

Considering the father looked like he owned a meth lab, that might have something to do with it.

It's still not entirely clear, but the article below indicates it's not about the names. Who's to say? No one is really at liberty to discuss it. I wouldn't be too surprised if someone is claiming abuse simply to get the kids out of what they consider a bad environment.

A New Jersey mom who gave her three children Nazi-friendly names says she lost custody of the kids because a neighbor wrongly accused her and her husband of abuse. Child welfare officials seized the children on Jan. 9 after the neighbor phoned in the claim, Deborah Campbell told the The Express Times paper in nearby Easton, Pa.

"My husband and I would never abuse our children," she told the paper for Wednesday's edition. "I just want my children back."

Officials at the State Department of Youth and Family Services won't say why they removed Adolf Hitler, 3; JoyceLynn Aryan Nation, 1; and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, an infant, from the house.

The mom was told by a family court judge not to talk about the case, but she says she's violating that order in hopes of gaining public support.

"I'm begging people to stand behind us and for an attorney to come forward," she said.

Deborah Campbell says her husband, Heath, was hospitalized because of stress from the dispute. He was released Monday. A postponed court hearing hasn't been rescheduled because the family is seeking a lawyer.

The bizarre names came to public attention after a local store refused to fill their order for a birthday cake with the message, "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler." The parents insist they're not racists and want only to honor the heritage of the Third Reich. "They're just names, you know," Heath Campbell has said.

Every detail i can imagine regarding what burden the parents put on their children is too obvious to mention.

I'm at a loss of words that is so mashed. It would be nice if the children learn their parents in their early youth.

I look forward to hearing the fun justification for taking those kids away from their parents. If it's just for the naming, it's bullshit and they should be returned to their home with a big fat apology from the bureaucrat who decided to interfere.

Yes.

A kid could be named "Pol Pot Brown" or "Vlad III Tepes Jones" and still live a good life.

Names do not make a person; persons make the name their own.

Names can definitely scar people though. My sister had a friend in highschool whos name was Patty Pila Puke. I mean, Patty Puke can't really be helped because her last name, while unfortunate, was Puke. Why on earth would her parents give her that middle name? Pile of Puke was something that she had to live with and be made fun of over, I certainly hope she either changed her last name or got married.

I don't believe in taking kids away because of what their parents name them, but really... they aren't quite there in the head if they think that their kids won't be given any problems because of it.

Yeah, I think she got married. She met a Major in the military. His name is Richard, last name is Head. He's better known by all his friends as Major Dick Head.

I know a Captain Morgan and a Major Paine. I also know a Slaughter, but unfortunately, he's an officer, so he'll never have the honor of being Sergeant Slaughter.

having those names can definitely inflict mental damage on children, hell even my maiden name got me made fun of "feathererererererererererer" yay... lol
