Well since I'm leaving the game soon and go on a long time break. Going back to Asia for family reunion. I want to get this off my chest, and move on.
I believe most of you heard about story of me obsessed with Karoline, well you need to listen to my story before made any judgement. This is just telling not flameboard so no need to posting craps all over.
It's all started 3 years ago, my friends was played the game so I was into FFXI too, but they quited. I ran into this blackmage just started the game lvl 2 in East Sarutabaruta, that is Karoline. So I helped her, show her around then we became good friends ever since. Our nub days was fun, no dramas no end game. I made a social linkshell called Millionaire, me and her was in same LS for long time everyone in there like a family.
Once day, Karo disappeared without a tell or message just like that. People in shell asked me what up with Karo, they missed her. I don't know what to tell them. While she was gone, an old friend of mine that started the shell with me turn out to be a gilbuyer, big one too, name Vezroyale. So, we not get along anymore. He trying to get members in our social LS to join another shell with him because I can't help him with Rank 6 Sandy. Our social broke, I moved on and into end game. My friend Ujio, Tanatoro, Magno started a new shell after they got into drama with Atiba and ThousandSword broke. Which made SoraNohi and old Affinity. As always, gods and other things end game, until dramas happened and SoraNohi broke which I got so tired for the game. Tanatoro the best leader ever to me quited the game for good, I'm not doing anything and about to quit the game myself.
Something happened kept me back. That day in Port Windurst near the Outpost, I got a /tell from a familiar name been missing for awhile. Karoline "/poke", I was so happy to see it. I come to her and we talk about what happened and why she quited the game. She told me it was for her boyfriend, which is understandable RL > game. Something happened to them, they broke up but Karo went through depression then took medication and it screwed her up for months because that dude got a new girl and provoke her with it. I careless then, see her come back I was happy. So we started lvl BSTs together from what she left off when she quited. I didn't have my mages job lvled so I did my best /PLD which is pain in the ass to lvl. Whole 9 months of lvling BSTs was so much fun, until one day this one dude appear that fucked up everything, Ogami (Altimira) and Karoline changed too when end game started.
We first met was in Beaudeux doing coffer key, I was nice to him and treat her friend like my friend. Guess what? He went online look for my information and check my picture then /tell me in game about bitching hat I got. The picture wasn't even me. I don't know how it's for others but my culture met only one or two time then do this shit is so disrespect and rude. I don't got any good imagine about him since.
Here come all the dudes that hitted on Karoline and crazily about her, Kyler is good example, he got a taru that follow her all the time. She got tired of it so she took me out as shield saying that I'm her boyfriend. Then that is over, but Kyler's taru always check me and act like I'm his enemy. Some even made mules /tell her about bunch of craps when she sleeping. I got pissed because I've care and protected her since nub day. Ogami act like one of them to me. All the dudes that hitted on her gave her so much stuffs, but she took them and sale them craps and laught with me about it. I didn't like the way she did it, when it turn bad, I'm always the one there for her to talk to and cry about the problem.
End game started for her, I always told her to earn her gears don't use people or take things not belong to her since it's always bad many times. I know this friend of mine, she hate farming she hate camping NM for gil. Almost everything she got is from other people. Told her that if she need help I will help her out. So I always bought gears x2 because our 2 jobs are the same which is BST and NIN.
She went joined CST Linkshell, which is fine. Only like a week or two there already drama started, she come talk to me about how those people don't treat blm fair and how her gears stuff, so she quited them, they asked her Wisket back. Later I asked Alastor what up with it, then I found out the truth, she never helped them farm or show up on events. She got all sad and stuff said how gimp her blm now, might quit blm for good. What should I do when she say that to me, I sold my Huabberk for 5 mil. Bought her new Wisket for 2 mil and I mined 2 weeks straight in Halvung for Ores to made her Snow Ring, Decidence was the one crafted it. I told her tell everyone that she farmed her gil and bought new one so nobody think bad about her. Karoline "Thank you for being my friend Corv, it's always nice you're there for me". She got no endgame shell now, then come my friends from previous god shell and Karoline but need sky gears so I decided to remake LS and have all the friends together. It was so tough at beginning to pull it up, what sad is Karo left the shell and go back to CST linkshell only left is my other friends. Ain't that hurt? She told people that I got pissed when I asked her to do stuff everytime she log on and she don't want to. Look again, she blamed me later for ditched her for godshell and move passed her, I want to help her catch up to me.
She showed me that all she ever care was about gears and game, she was so into this game 24/7 stay up late wake up early to play it from 10 am until next day 6am. I started to worry for her again, she just graduated from college and before that her grade dropped. She told me how her mom want her to find a job and stuff, can't live with friends if jobless in fall. I hate to care for this because it's over limit of a game friend, but would you like to see your 2 years close friend fall? I can't do it. Also she wanted to quit the game when she graduated but I kept her here, I'm responsible for what she will become b/c of this game. The game is so poisoned when you're so into it, you forget everything in RL. I've been there myself, I know it so well. I tried to drove her away and less in game, acted all crazy and hoping she quit because of it. This dude Ogami always stick his face into our business, he get her to go fishing with him and shit making schedule must be everyweekend. She told me even if he was taru, then next thing is he went do a taru for her Altamira. One day I asked my friend Pheebe to help me tested her. Pheebe /tell her said that Corv want to get all his gears back and move on. She got so pissed and called me Cockvinus and all mad, but I never take it back what I gave her not even after all the fights and yet still tried to help her out.
I can't change her way, she still flirting and acting friendly to attracted all the dudes. I told her one day, "can you stop flirting and play the game" but she told me to "fuck off, flirting is what I do, welcome to my blist". I was so mad and ingore her but can't do it, everytime she talk to me again I can't hold it after all those years.
Next thing is she told me she wanted the Adaman Haubberk, would get it before she quit the game. Guess what who in this epic drama next? Kisada leader of the dynamis shell I ran with for over one year. For record I was the one asked Meastoso to get Karoline joined the dynamis linkshell but then she got bored and quited. Everytime she look on AH, she checking the BST JSE axe 70s and talking about how Kisada sold all of it and talking about how rich this guy is. Tanatoro always told me about how respectable Kisada is but this changed everything. One day trumpeter go crafted her fish glove well you know she could just buy them on AH it not that expansive, Kisada was there. She started to talk to him about books and movies, next thing I know is he on her every single night for two weeks straight. Even when things we planned to do before not happened. That taking back to whole using people thing like before again. An old friend that fought with Kisada over a girl long ago is a know friend to me, so I know a bit of his history and Karoline ain't a good target for this to happen again. Alastor even told me later that Karoline was playing with Kisada, but I don't understand what happened there.
Another thing is I never acted pervert to her once in last three year and yes I like her but nothing more than friend in this game. Wanted to change her but she is unchangable. She wasted 3 years waiting for one guy in last online game but he never came back, now she repeating the whole process again in FFXI. My stubbornness made me obsessive with her issues. She told me that she not cybering, they're only friends but how friends always turn bad for her and turn into those happened before. It's their problem or her problem that thing go like it. She asked me game wedding ring all the time back in nub days, and called me all sweet words like couple but I tried to kept the space because she got real life boyfriend and don't want stupid online cyber thing. But look at her, she can't change her way, and everything she told me before are bunch of lied , she act like a online slut. Tell people how "He don't respect me and my friend so had to say goodbye". She is the one that don't respect me in first place.
After she joined Fury shell not so long, she met Boondocksaint and same thing when Boondocksaint quited the game, she get the serket ring and Kirin Osede from him, how amazing she is. Just know someone for not long and can get that much.
Anyway I feel much better get this off my chest and move on, two weeks left and no more FFXI for long time. I know many people tried to quit the game but can't do it, I know I won't be able to do it so easy either but hopefully this long break will help change things around. If you're her friends and think about me like what you did listened to her then that fine, don't matter soon anyway. That is whole things and what happened between Corvinus and Karoline. Anyway gonna go packing up and stuff ready to travel out of U.S.
