Pretty sure, no.

I am looking for a program that gives info once I feed it what job, race, lvl, and gear I have on.

any programs that help would be nice.....i mean any
Pls help,

Zadecle

Since all of the data woudl be sent to your PS2, the program would have to be run on your PS2; and to my knowledge there are no PS2 parsers.

The only way that would be possible is if someone hacked the server and made a program that recorded everything your character did.

They work on the PC version because its recording from the RAM.

I just find it strange that I cant plug in player info and find out % and damage on a standard lvl.

Thnks

This is completely random. You'll just have to ask others for averages.

This is imposible, because every swing is a dice roll, if you hit, how hard do you hit within your damage range, if the mob does any evasion skills, if you crit, there's no way to have a seperate program have all of the info you're looking for.

Edit: you're basically looking for the exact mechanics of this game in a seperate program, which I doubt SE would allow to be released or even developed.

No, that's normal business ethics.

In computer science, parsing is the process of analyzing an input sequence (read from a file or a keyboard, for example) in order to determine its grammatical structure with respect to a given formal grammar.
found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsing

Now i'm not sure how FFXI works on Pc but to my understanding is that your chat log gets saved onto your computer. After you party, you get a parsing program to read your log and it will interpret the battle text and make conclusions about it.

Example:
Code:
...
Flamey hits the Sea Puk for 23 points of damage.
Flamey misses the Seak Puk.
Flamey readies Dancing Edge.
Flamey uses Dancing Edge
The Sea Puk takes 1021 points of damage
Flamey defeats the Sea Puk
Limit Chain #23
Flamey gains 97 limit points.
...
The program can then tell from the text ecatly what happened over the course of a party. For example add 23 then 1021 to my total damage, add 1 to the amount of defeated enemies, and finally add 97 to the amount of exp.

Now if you do this over the course of an entire party where you filter out everyone except interactions of the party with itself and with mobs you can show significan stats.

ACTUALLY u can parse over a network, i used to run a parser on my PC and play on my wifes, and it would parse my info from there.
Now you would need the ps2 HD hack kit to do this, and good luck finding it because its still pretty underground.
but open up your ps2 HD using that kit, it may or may not show up as a networked computer on your pc. Either way you can use the parser to browse to the folder that parser uses and run it this way.
Granted this means u need to have parser running on a pc still, but u would be able to parse it from your ps2.
but thats alot of work when if u were just playing on your pc you wouldnt have to worry about it ^^

Yeah, that's what the parser does, although it calculates everything while you're fighting and displays the results after each fight; not just at the end of the whole party. You can do the same thing if you felt like just reading the chat logs, the parser is just automatic.

Ya i was looking to find out accuracy and other stats?? ima try for this PS2 hack......w/e i am game

well read at the end, or while it happens, same logic to it pretty much.
