hedgehog pie is only acc+5 while sole sushi is +15% -- big difference when you are trying to hit harder to hit mobs. (not the puks, those are a walk in the park)

yes, flash overall will lower EVERYONES acc, not really just one person more than another (over time it all evens out).. and besides, everyone should be fighting the same mob..

Im 95% positive that Cami is maxed in H2H, Crit, Guard, STR and others.

So I prefer to look at the more detailed summary to see exactly how much melee dmg people were doing and how much weapon skill dmg.

Actually, I parse better with sushi than with meat, even on VT-IT mobs. Of course, I'm still missing some of the "uber" items(Osode/B. Haidate mainly) for monk, so maybe with better gear people can eat meat.

Highlite the desired text in the FFXI Parser. Hit Control + C. Open your "Reply to Thread" or "New Thread" text area. Hit Control + V.
 
You're a lucky bastard to have such a pt >.< I am amazed a Ridill War has suh low parsings.. I've been lead to believe the "OMG RIDILL!!!" notion that it is.. ya know... incredible. (it is very sexy, but not showing it here)
I think my heart would seize if I ever got to pt with people so good :/ Though if I'm lucky I might catch Crosis' monk! He's nifty :3

If you could read I think it's plainly there? What's the point of any post? Rather than be a jerk, how about keeping your thoughts to yourself mkay?
 
the point of this post is discussion on hi-lvl merit parses, not omg-ridill posts...you also got confused, the ridill does in fact have a significant impact on this parse...and mentioning crosis's MNK is "nifty" is about as off-topic as you can get.
I'm not being mean, just please, don't post if there's nothing constructive to say

Edit" I may have over-reacted some, I'd just like to have an actual discussion on what the topic is about, ways to improve, as the coarse was going. Posts like the above tend to lead things astray

I said Crosis was nifty.. him being the Brd.. I found it relevent.. I mentioned that the OP was lucky to be in such a pt (still relevent) and pointed out one aspect of the pt's high quality.
As it stands, every single "congrats" or agreement sort of post in good times should be removed as "off topic" because while talking about the subject, it's not going in the direction of boring numbers that next to no one cares about.

That must be too much to ask. Obviously there was some reason why Decidence is able to outparse MNK's and WAR's, and rather then sit in a happy circle singing kumbaiya, maybe we should scratch our heads, see whats succesful, and run with it
 
Aside: ty deci for gettin us back on track...

The combination of haste gear with sushi is why you see the numbers on a NIN or a hasted MNK or WAR...each hit comes faster, and with sushi you hit more often.

I think Cami would have done much better had we been a strictly puk party, but the Mamools/Wyverns higher eva requires you to have a high acc...puks can be corelated to deco's, the mamools to either statues or aura weaps in sky. MNK's higher base combat skill allows them to use meat more often, but this parse kinda shows that even for a MNK either sushi or more acc gear is needed on the tougher mobs.

considering the extremely short duration of puk fights, i would have to wonder if having the 5% turban would get cami to squeeze in an extra turn. If in the typical fight he doesnt get an extra round of attack then maybe Ohat full time would be advantagous...

correct me if im wrong but he would ahve to attack 20 times in 1 fight to see an extra 1 turn ya? im sure puk fights didnt last that long with your group
 
yes but puks are only filler mobs

The primary targets for mobs are the mamools and wyverns, which still go down fast, but not quite as fast as the puks.

But god forbid, i do agree with eulore here, if you're going to eat meat, focus acc everywhere, if you eat sushi, then you boost haste/attack
 
Melee Attack caps at 2.4 times the enemies DEF. So if a PUK has 300 DEF then your Attack won't do anything after 720.
 
I find I maximize dmg by eating sushi and peeling off acc equip piece by piece till i find a happy medium. I would advise any other melee to do the same. However the puks can easily be killed with good accuracy and meat.
 
I would say if you were /war and had BRD then yes. Meat would have deminishing returns. I know with minuet/berserk and full attk setup I get around 700 attk goin on.

edit. But the fact that he was /NIN he prolly was getting full effect of meat.
