Parser broken?

That explains leagues of things, I never knew the old Matt so I was kinda curious how he got so pimped out. The new one seems like good shit to me.

Edit: Found it, and apparently he's fixed the problems the update caused. Check it out at your own risk: http://members.cox.net/tazzy_parser/

I was reading his development notes, and it sounds really nice. Going to check it out when I get home later. Thanks for the find Nyosan.

Downloaded the parser, turns out you need to run the setup.exe version, there's other stuff that the parser needs to install. Also had to manually save the first log in order to get 'gather/parse logs to date' to work properly. But seems to work fine, if the interface is a bit different.

Aw gay, so just downloading the zip and overwriting the old parser files won't do? I think that's what I did last night, havent tried a parse yet though.

Saved a tempy log and deleted right away? Or do you have to leave the tempy in place?

On a side note, has anyone found a way to parse dmg against the brittle rocks? Since there's no "Player has defeated the Brittle Rock" message I'mma presume there's no way for parsers to know that you're done with the wall.

You need to download the setup.exe version, not just the .zip with 5 files in it. Some VB componenets it needs, may or may not be installed already through windows update. And you just need to save and delete it, appears he removed the option to set where logs are saved and it defaults to last saved location.

If you're talking about the person who made the original parser, eh got hacked.

He saw someone posted hiw parser somewhere else, decided to download it to see which version it was. Sadly, it contianed a trojan, and all of his stuff got stolen. After that he quit FFXI and decided to never come back, and thus, he stopped the production of parser.

Not entirely true. He quit, and 4-6 months later came back to the parser (more like was dragged back by his overflowing email box) and slapped an IGE ad on the top of it. Source code was lost in those months, so the last version he released was actually buggier than version 5.7 or whatever he got hacked at ([Counter] unable to be parsed, etc).

Thats according to him on ArcaneGardenls he plays far too well to be an rmt, has a ????ton of jobs lved past 60

I'm pretty sure I heard that right(what I said earlier) from Fellina(feel free to disclaim Fell)

I'm guessing what Silf means is, he didn't give his acct away. He brought home the bacon with it.

>>>>semi retarded

What do you mean(in simple not metaphorical terms?)

He's saying he sold the account to some random person, not give it to someone he knew.
