ya when i was going through ro'meave i saw these IT mobs but i dont have a moongate pass though

That's not sky though, that's moon :p

Other good places ot exp at is Lufaise Meadows, King Ranperre's Tombs and, to some extent, Kuftal Tunnel.

do you think a party of 71+ will be able to xp off of those mobs in Lufaise though?? ive seen 75's, but nothing lower.

(Please)(Help me out!)

Don't listen to any of these people. This is really the best place to go to solve your problem:

Here.

You really don't need the expansion to level. It's just all the stupid people that are like ZMG MINUTE EXP BONUS RAWR~! Level here. Try sky it's usually empty now. With Lufaise Meadows you'll need a paladin to tank.

Actually romper its more like tons of camps you dont have to travel to for 30minutes+, weaker monsters that give more exp than theyre supposed to, extra refresh, faster pop times, double food duration ect..
theres a long ass list of reasons to to use the expansion to exp over the old areas unless literally EVERY other spot in the expansion is past its max capacity or you make a pt specifically designed for a non toa area(lufaise).
Once a person gets past lv 55 I'd suggest getting the expansion because I'd pick expansion areas to pt over non expansion and kick out the person without em unless they were my only choice.

I don't get why people say you need a PLD for Lufaise. Can you not find people who can time Flash/Stun when NIN's shadows are down or something?

NInja vs a monster that has an actual move called "triple attack" uses double attack, has an aoe move that ignores/strips shadows, is rpretty accurate, fast attackrate ect isnt a formulae for survivability. It's simply too easy for a ninja to messup or get unlucky in lufaise.
A ninja that does good elsewhere can/will die about once every chain or two from bad luck if noone steals hate from the ninja or backuptanks for the ninja on a consistent basis(aka the ninja isnt really tanking)

Yeah, that minute 15% bonus, as well as a 5 minute travel to camp vs 15-30 minutes, and mobs that repop at 5 minutes and die in 20 seconds. People are pulling 10k/hr in mediocre parties in ToAU, that used to be top shelf before it came out.

I'd have to disagree with this for ninja's, since colbiri seem designed against them. Triple attack, stealing food and TP, on top of being resistant to magic makes them a pain to tank. Maybe I was missing something, but melee damage wasn't enough to hold hate, nor was spamming the wheel; so for nin's I'd say old zones are better.

Eh, the only reason why the repops are "faster" is because the good aht urghan camps are outdoors. The only outdoor camps in oldworld at 75 are the Moongates(Not great at 75, imo,) Uleguerand Range, and Lufaise Meadows(Awful Mobs.)

All the other good camps(the best ones, aside from Range) are indoors, which means longer pop times. The best thing they can do to "fix" old world exp camps is reduce indoor timers to outdoor. No reason why they should be different in the first place. You wouldn't need to roam across multiple positions to cannon KRT and Ru'Avitau if they had 5 minute timers, allowing more parties to be in the area. One Fountain room would be enough to cannon weapons, for example.

Personally, I don't EXP in a zone for "ZMG MINUTE EXP BONUS RAWR". I like it because I have a grand total of 176,892 CP across my character and my alts, and like 5,ooo ISP on my main. ISP for warps to Bastok and the turban are the reasons I like ToAU experiance camps.

I don't think they designed the old zones for extended parties, large open area means you can manuever around the mobs. Dungeon means narrow spaces, 5 minute repops means you'll get mobs popping on you while fighting your way through. The new zones were made for exp parties, large concentrations of mobs in outdoor zones.

Yeah, that could be a problem if monster respawn points couldn't be moved around, cause you know, it's not like it hasn't happened before.

Spread out 5 minute repop vs close together 15 minute repop, you'll get faster exp on the close together pops, assuming there's enough to keep you going constantly (ie the big circle in KRT)
