Party Time!!!

What is it with people invited and only giving a person 10 sec to reply.. then getting someone else after you reply in 15 sec?

I'll admit, that's annoying... About as annoying to me as getting the /tell, replying to it instantly, and then having to wait 5-10 minutes before the person decides if they really want me or not. Particularly if I'm getting other invites in that time period...
 
Oh get this, I got an invite on BLM a little while back, and one of the people in the party had also sent me an invite, because he was one of my friends. I didn't make the connection that they were in the same pater because my friend had said "Oh, nevermind, the leader got another BLM." I said "Alright, I just got another invite anyway." So I'm on my way to CN talking to the leader asking where camp is.

Ok, so I'm running there and I see the BLM that had been seeking earlier, run past me with his flag up. We both get there and sure enough, the other BLM gets invited into the party and I see my friend, and the leader of the party there. Same party.

I ask what's going on, the leader tells me. "Wait here until someone has to leave." WTF?! Yeah, I promptly warped after that.
 
Never had that happen to me... though when building parties I give 'em 3 minutes. No reply, replaced. Of course, the ones that don't reply in 3min are always one of the critical tank or mage jobs that you need, and naturally they're the only one seeking / not in a party / doesn't have JP PT ONLY in their search comment.
 
Eh. I had a group on DRG do that to me. Kinda. I joined the party when it was 3 members, and ran around, talking, they built it up to 6. We were JUST getting ready to head out and level. Well, I got disconnected. It took me 8 minutes to get on and they replaced me. I didn't really get upset, I guess 8 minutes is a hella long time.

When someone d/c from a party, we usually wait 5-10 mins till we get them replaced. It shouldnt take a whole lot of time to restart a computer. >.>; takes me 3 minutes to reboot my computer.
 
Yes, people should send out one invite at a time to a certain aspect of the party they're filling. If you need a healer, don't try to invite a WHM and a RDM at the same time when all you need coverd is healing. Thankfully this happens less often in the upper levels. People seam to grow stupid when they're leveling Valkrum-Yhoat despite their rank. ><
