i skimmed over the update details, but was dex adjusted as well? or is that purely speculation...

Yes, DEX was adjusted as well. So 1 DEX = 0.75 ACC and 1 STR = 0.75 ATK for 2-handed weaponry. Therefore..
- 2 STR/DEX = 1.5 ATK/ACC (1 ATK/ACC due to floor)
- 3 STR/DEX = 2.25 ATK/ACC (2 ATK/ACC due to floor)
- 4 STR/DEX = 3 ATK/ACC
Actually, not too harsh of an adjustment, if you think about it.. at least, not as harsh as they could've made it. ^^;

The nerfage for bonus attributes didn't really affect much. But the pDIF now is horrible. I can hit for 210-315 on mobs way below my level. Pre nerf, I was at 65, I could hit for 250+ to 290 on too weak mobs.

Well maybe it's what SE intended from the start, just that they got it wrong twice. At least Guillotine and Pentatrust accuracy nerf has been removed, and I'm ok-ish with things now. It's balance in a very long time.

What about the viability of eatting meat in merits? I have not meritted much since the two handed updates and usually when I do, it's as WHM anyways. How is the accuracy on Mamool Ja, most specifically, the THF and NINs? I have a decent amount of accuracy as is now, but I'd prefer to stay above the 90% threshold and closer to 92-94% if at all possible.

I think eating meat in merits is still viable. I haven't tested it myself but if you just switch out some pieces like Bomb core to Fire bomblet, Chiv Chain to PCC, etc. I'm sure acc should be +90%. People average about what? 100 DEX with gear? So you lose about 25 acc (pulling the DEX and acc numbers out of my ass but that should be in the ball park) which can be nearly made up with going all out Haste/Acc, rather than Haste/Att/STR.

Also I never found the Mamool NINs any more evasive than the other Mamools. It's the THFs that are a pain in the ass.

So on merits mobs meat shouldn't be a problem. I mean 2 handers with proper gear and merits were already eating meat before the 2 hander buff. No reason they should switch to sushi now.

eatting meat was possible before all the 2h adjustments and is still easier now than then... though need full acc gear on the thfs, stupid evasion ><

I've found Penta's accuracy just plain went to shit for me.

My setup can't do meat vs. Mamool anymore with this update.
