Ok, so seeing as i recently moved to Canada, I have no credit card whatsoever and the only card i do have is my Interac card (piece of shit btw), my british card expires at the end of this month.

So i was just wondering how i could pay for FF other than credit card? I remember they had an FF visa but can't seem to get to that...any help would rock ^^ thanks

Lots of places offer prepaid credit cards these days. Check banks, payday loan places, even Western Union and Wal-mart have their own prepaid credit cards.

Thanks, so pre-paid cards have no limit right? well, the limit is what ya put on the card until it runs out?

i actually played off of a prepaid card for a few months. worked just like a normal card

Yes, until it runs out, the limit is what you put on it. I think you can even add to the balance on some cards, though I'm not sure.

Is there a reason why you don't want to just get a normal credit card?

When i opened my bank account, they said i would have to wait a while before i was given approval since i am new to the country etc etc, I don't really have a credit history here so maybe that's why i would get rejected.

Thanks for the help, will go talk to my bank tomorrow

Nope, they gave me something called an Interac card...first time i have heard of it myself....looks like a bunch of crap compared to my other Debit card

If you do get a prepaid credit card make sure to get it from a bank, online retailers will almost always accept those. A while ago I bought a Vanilla Visa and no online retailers would accept it. So I basically ended up paying $105.95 for $100 in cash :/

I do apologise for the necro...

I went to my bank (HSBC) and asked about a pre paid credit card, they said they didn't do one, so i went to the bank on campus in school (Bank of Montreal)

I get there and the lady helps me fill out a form, and practically enters everything for me (Previous address, password and secret answer) Of course i don't know what the shit is happening, and she says i have been approved and just to wait to get the card.

I got a letter through yesterday and it says that the information I provided was unverifiable, so I am stuck without a credit card to pay, I heard several people talk about Gift cards that also work, but whenever i go to change my Details, it just says Credit card?

Any help would be awesome as the billing period is coming shortly... ; ;

Edit: It seems the retard signed me up for an Airmiles card...

There are Visa gift cards that could work. http://www.visa.ca/en/personal/prepaid/

Debit = Interac card.

Yeah, but isn't there a way to get a Visa debit instead of Interac?

I've honestly never heard of that in Canada.

I would think just go to the bank like everyone else is saying!
