hey, im prolly' gonna be getting the pc ver, (i have the ps2 ver too), but i was wondering what the controls are? like for macros and menu and stuff..

like for the ps2 u would use R2 and L2 for macro, and x to select and O for back.... {Please} {Help me out!}

You have macros that can be set up in which you would need to hold down ctrl and the others would be Alt. Just be careful of hitting the Tab or Esc keys. lol

You can toggle through the menu by hitting the - key on the num pad also.

I use the keyboard exclusively, unlike the guys in my ls who insist on using their silly controllers. To move, I use the numberpad arrows (2,4,6,8). The arrow keys move the camera. + will select your log, and + twice will let you cancel useful things like Protect and Signet. The - key brings up the menu. For macros, you use alt and ctrl. Bind a macro to ctrl 1, and when you want to use it hold down ctrl+1. Simple. Ctrl+m brings up your magic menu, ctrl+i your inventroy, ctrl+e your equip screen, yadda yadda. Ctrl+a is attack, and ctrl+d used to be ranged attack, but mine has for some reason stopped working. Maybe it's just me. To sort things in your inventory, hit +.
And stuff.

yeah just get a Kikijoy and set it up how ever you are used to it or whatever way you want.

Personally, I play on the PC and use a keyboard all the time but.....you can use both like the PS2 I just like my wireless keyboard.

I sit back and control everything with that instead of switching controller/keyboard.

but hey everyone has their own style.

Default settings for PC:

use the number pad for directions.

the * button is rest or lock/unlock target

/ toggles walk/run

- button brings up the menu or is it the + (I have been away from the game for a bit so this may be a little off.) but ll of these above are on the Numeric pad on the keyboard.

then all of your macros can be setup on ALT or CNTRL + 1-0 on the keyboard.

hmmm.. what is it that you really need to know?

Mohoso

k i found out what it is, but where do i get it?

***edit nvm i jus bought a nyko airflow contr. for pc off ebay for $5 lmao***

btw i got the game too

I have both PC and PS2 versions, and being on the PC first i can tell you from now, the PS2 delivers better handeling in terms of control.

Assuming you have a standard USB keyboard for your PS2, you can try out how the PC version would operate, it's the same on PC. ALT and CTRL are for macros, Tab would be for selecting anything targetable, ( you can select things the opposite direction by pressing shift tab)

F2-F5 are for targeting party members F1 and F6 will target yourself.

Zoom - The same on PC and PS2 on the keypad press 9 and 3

The camera is controlled by the arrow keys, and the arrows on the key pad ( 2 4 6 8 ) are for navagating your character. Pressing 7 will toggle hte walk run mode.

* by the key pad is for resting.

few things really, just check it out on your PS2.

Learning how to use a Mouse with the game is self explainatory, recommended to have a wheel mouse.

The difference with PC and PS2, is the PC is more flexable with ways to change shoudtracks record video digitally, other areas using 3rd party software. Also the PC looks better for more reasons that it being ona Monitor. i hooked up my PS2 to a monitor with a device i had purchased and it still does not match the sharpness of the PC. the PC is simply georgous.

I own the pc version, and personally the only reason i ever touch the mouse is to auto sort my inventory, as i dont know how to do that on the keyboard. Other than that, i use my mouse to look around at the scenery when im dead, as you cant do that with the keyboard once your dead.

Using the keyboard is really simple, I dont really see what the fuss is about. Or how using an analog controller would help all that much more. Keyboards rule.

Open your inventory. Press the "+" key (on the numberpad on the right side of your keyboard). Press "enter." Press the "up arrow" key once. Press "enter."

I've spent most of my time on the PC version, And yes the keyboard does come before any other hardware for controll. That is due to the ability to type. When it comes down to leveling, the PS2 controller offers everything, with such little dexterity. When leveling for hours on end, the controller is so good in comparrison to the keyboard, i refuse to level on PC.When something goes out of wack, the controller will have you on it faster. And it's just plain cozy. After exsperiencing that. the mouse and keyboard is very uncomfortable, for exstensive usage, But only in comparrison.

Bah, don't lump me in that statement. If i want to use a controller, i wouldn't buy PC games. The control a keyboard and mouse gives you is one of the main reasons i prefer pc gaming to console gaming. Not saying anything bad about consoles, i've owned almost every major console to hit North America, and a few that never did.
