PC WotG

Not to be Mr. Shutthefuckup, but isn't this a bit more than slightly illegal? Sure, it's for a game we all want to enjoy, but there's still a gray area...

2 questions

1. Are the discs for the WotG cd-dvd rom

2. is it out today?

my store said the 20th but it was ebgames and it may be out the 23rd instead since some eb have had it sched. that day

No, because you still need to own a legal copy of the game in order to even play it. That's just for people that either can't install it because they don't have a DVD drive, or don't feel like buying a new copy if they misplaced their original disc, etc.

Gamestop has them for PS2, 360, and PC. I was there this morning and bought the one for PS2 for $32.

Its illegal, surprised the links weren't removed.

At best its a gray area. You can't do anything with the game itself unless you own a legal copy of it. Besides;

These files are for the following people:
  • PC Players who have legally purchased the game software but unable to install due to broken DVD ROM Drive
  • Old UK Players who bought the game before the EU release and has an US account requiring the US disc's and expansions.
  • PS2 AND/OR XBOX360 Players who wish to also play the game on their PC.
  • PC Players who have lost their disc or it was scratched/damaged
  • Players who previously signed up with a Free Trial of FFXI before the complete Trial Package was released and purchased the Expansion Registration Codes online and needs the games installed.

And that site has been up for ages. I'd assume if SE had a problem with it, they'd have acted by now. Especially considering they they frequently visit BG.

ok so ill be able to use the euro version just need to use a us registration code right?and if so will a xbox360 or ps2 registration code work?cause i was gonna go to gamestop and trade versions i could do this.

If you play the NA version, you need an NA code no matter what. And yes, the PS2/Xbox360 code supposedly work.

after hearing all this about the PC version being put back a day i gave my local shop a call, who said they weren’t even getting it in stock >.> (even though i reserved a copy last week, wtf).

so i gave a few other shops a call...

GAME in Belfast has 3 copies in stock... BUT WONT SELL 1 TO ME TILL FRIDAY!!!

ok great. ill have to wait for them to post the NA version. hopefully they will by the end of today.

Well, bg people told me how to install the EU one on my NA system. Lets hope it works.

SE will still get their 30 bucks from me by me buying the ps2/360 code. So I see no problems ;P

If someone in US want to be kind enough to pick me up a NA PS2 or Xbox copy of the game, send me a PM and we'll see if we can cut a deal <.<; dvdboxoffice.com still says November 21st, but their "availibility" is still on "preorder" /sigh

They don't debit my credit card 'till they actually ship it, so I see no harm in cancelling it... /sigh, so much for 25 CAD extra for fast shipment. My total is at 61,24 CAD =/

I just called my Gamestop... Haha, they won't get my PC version until Friday... BLACK FRIDAY. -sobs.- I really don't wanna go out on Black Friday.

Wotg installed on PC.

SE 0 BG 1

Updating the stuff :D Gonna go get my registration code soon.

How can you not like black friday? It's a tradition in my family to wake up god-forsakenly early to wait in long lines so we can watch fat women fight over 50% off items.
