It's an issue because of what you're doing to this site :s

Sculli said:Trippy, I think you are confusing the issue here. The only one who can comment on this with authority is me. A QCDN user asked me to ask those who use the user's wiritngs in a quote to remove that quote. I acted on that as I have done numerous times in the past for a host of other QCDN users.
Not sure why this is so much of an issue, I don't remember anyone raising hell over the past few dozen times this happened. Could it be that this is just a collective mobbing of Shaidalyn? Shaidalyn is already on Read-Only, further attempts at bringing her down over something she didn't even write at QCDN are meaningless and I will not stand by to support them.
Sculli said:In fact, Tiael, someone who had the Shaidalyn quote in his sig, asked me to make Shaunessy not use Tiael in his sig/avatar.
Actually, Sculli said that if the person quoted asks Sculli to have the quote taken down, he will. If Blazn hasn't asked then there was no reason for Sculli to remove it from Tag's sig.Mokk said:Meanwhile tag's sig has been bashing away at blazn, who is under some sort of QCDN 'don't fuck with' umbrella for quite some time now for no concievable reason even though the community continuously repells him from the boards overall and nothing... so much for not standing by things of this nature. Keep in mind this is only one, and the most glaring at that, example.
i'd try to see this your way but i can't get that lopsided.

Rappa said:Edit: Reported. Now if he doesn't do anything in the next day then you can say all you want about hypocrisy.
Actually, I couldn't be more right, based on the post by Sculli which YOU quoted. Since you missed it, I'll bold the interesting part.Mokk said:Actually you couldn't be more wrong.
Do us all a favor, read the sig, then hit the community standards and do a little reading.
using someone elses personal insult in your sig as a loophole ftw ... i spose.
Now whether the user requested it or not is the issue; not the actual content. That's why sculli said that he edited Eulore's sig, that's why this whole thing started; not just because someone quoted something that showed someone in bad light.Sculli said:Trippy, I think you are confusing the issue here. Rappa said:Harassment is covered in Sculli's rules topic. I'd understand why you would be upset if it weren't, but you agreed to follow the rules when you created an account here and that's one of the rules. I'd say "If you don't like the rules, make your own board" but there's already qcnn so I guess have fun there.![]()
Yeah.Dowzer said:Excuse me, but a lot of us signed up to QCDN during the time when these rules didn't exist. Better get that banhammer polished and ready.

Mokk said:There's no point in all that i brought it up to make a point not to get anyone in some shit just for the sake of being able to hit the report button like a pansy and hide behind anonymity as the administration would have most people do these days. The fact of the matter is if the new standard is to be enforced someone needs to take some time to make sure that it's actually put in to practice before shoving it down anyone's throat so that people like me don't have examples as to why it doesn't and won't work.
Aside from that in this instance public statements are public record, if you don't want people quoting you it's real easy to log out or not say something. That the option is available to contact sculli over 'omg i said something stupid and i'd rather not be reminded of it' is one hell of a joke. Shaid and i usually have the occasion to agree on the topics we talk about aside from whatever in game crap she goes on about but on this issue i think it's just sad.
Were i to make the same mistake i'd expect to be poked fun at ... but apparently i didn't get the memo that this was all serious business again..
Tec said:Yeah.
Back then rules didn't want me, now that I'm hot, rules all on me.
Bajaratt said:She can still PM people, like sculli. Read-only just stops you from posting on the boards.

While on read-only, she can PM sculli on how to get off-read only and participate again. Even if she doesn't do that, can still ask that people stop quoting her. The extent of her effect is to stop people from quoting something she said, all-in-all, a very very minor effect on QCDN.Moriki said:Does not make her a participating member of the board, why aught she effect others? If she is ROA then Sculli owes her no favours.
