Being able to see the rights and wrongs of boths sides of it are the only thing keeping this thread afloat at this point, for the most part .. albeit heavily moderated.

I won't appease those who want the old FB back.Dejan said:Just... Get a grip man.

As I said before in this thread, pretty much everything else is negotiable. Very few are actually trying to negotiate though, most step on the Sculli-Sucks bandwagon and ride along.

Amen!Bajaratt said:Actually, I have the opposite stance; I was against the removal of the FB, but I wasn't on Eulore's side about the whole thing. Someone finds it offensive, you ask them to remove it, that makes sense. Not wanting people to have offensive sigs, that also makes sense; because otherwise I could have hardcore porn or blood and guts in my sig and that wouldn't be appropriate. He's whining about being asked to take down something deemed offensive; seriously, cry more. /plays a violin.
I agree that she really doesn't have any ground to stand on, she said something stupid, people called her on it; she only has herself to blame. I agree that she's trying to ditch any responsibility for what she said/did, but I don't really care about him asking Eulore to remove it from his sig. Then the dumbass decided to "rebell" and change over a hundred of his posts to be that quote, where is there any room to defend him again? There wasn't a rule explicitly stating no harrassment in sigs, but there was a "no harrassment" rule, which also applies to sigs. He thought he had a loop-hole, he was wrong.
I agree that this website is getting too-PC, too-daycare, <Too Weak> for it to be much fun. I like the idea of having a discussion without it resorting to "Fuck you," "no, fuck you;" but at the same time, these rules are being taken too far. I personally wouldn't be surprised if in the next month any swearing was outlawed, in an effort to "keep the site friendly." While it might work, at least on face, all of these drastic and sudden changes are leading to more and more people leaving. What was once one of my favorite forums is now just a shell of it's former glory; because so many people were driven away and so much content was removed. Not all of it was useful, but enough of it was and now very little of that useful content will be posted again because of the ridiculous "community standards."

Sure it's a rule on here and such, so that's all fine and dandy, but can people still put the quote up without her name being mentioned that she said that? Maybe my question was answered somewhere, I kind of skimmed through this thread a little.

Sculli removing the post because it offended someone was irrevelant; he removed it because she didn't want it in someone's sig. Times like this I'd kindof hope a gilseller freqented the boards and just popped some of you in his sig, just so you could see from the other point of view that maybe you just don't wanna be in that person's sig.
I'm not touching the rest of this thread...yeah, there's rules I agree with and alot I don't agree with, but making such a big f-!king deal over having to change a sig? JESUS...
*edit* If I may add, what if it were a friend asking you to remove your quoting them? Would you just laugh at them and keep the sig anyways, even though it might upset them or sortof put them in a bad position with you? I somehow doubt it, and really, people giving their friends special rights over others utterly pisses me off. So do you people treat your buddies like crap too if they had a personal request, or are you just putting them on magical pedastals because they're "good enough to be your friend"? What a bunchof crap...
