I really want to know why people simply hate police officers so much. Yeah, I am aware of there being a couple cases where cops do act outrageously, but does that give grounds to judge the entire lot of them? Whenever a cop passes by, or is on the television, etc. I hear or read a comment similar to "Fucking pigs, etc. etc" It shouldnt, but it really bothers me that people think this way. Is it because people really dont like to follow rules? That they are above the law? I find it simple as this, if you follow the law, you will not have any problems. If you dont follow it, youre gonna have problems, and you should suck it up.

Id like to see people complain about cops not doing their job if all of them had a day off on the same day, and no one was on patrol. Fucking hypocrites, lol.
 
While i'm a habitual law breaker you'll never hear this coming outa my mouth. I dig that cops are out making sure i'm not gonna get plowed in to by a drunk, mugged, killed in my sleep, etc etc. While i'd be bummed if i got caught holding it's always a 'yes sir/ma'am, no sir/ma'am' kinda thing. If i get busted doing something chances are i shouldn't have been doing it, i can live with that. Claiming you didn't know the risks involved is like pleading retardation.

Funny story, i won't mention names. One time i'm riding to go get a bag with a friend in his shitty VW rabbit and we're a lane to the left and ahead of a cop. So my friend turns to me and says 'check this out i'ma show this pig my bumper sticker.' The bumpersticker reads 'bad cop, no donut.' I'm informed as he changes lanes. Well the long and short of it is about 2 seconds later we're on the shoulder and he's getting nailed for expired tags. I laughed and laughed. To this day i still laugh.

Better before we got to our destination than after tho... <.<

I actually wanted to be a cop before i got involved in a lolcareer. I was always met with ,"why you wanna be a pig, cops suck, blah blah im a retard", and i never understood it. People HATE getting caught, even when its so obvious what they were doing is wrong. They blame their misfortune on the cop that caught them, which is so fucking hipocritical.

Yeah, thats how I feel.

Laugh it up ass. Did you know that car still runs and the guy i sold it to took all the stickers off of the car except that one? I saw it not too long ago. I wish I still had it ><

I don't like cops because I simply do not agree with all the laws in this country, and they (are supposed to) enforce all laws without question. Depending on what I'm doing, they are the bad guys, and I must avoid them so I don't get put in jail for doing something that isn't morally wrong in my eyes.

Untill I can agree with all the laws, the police will be my adversaries because they uphold laws that are unjust.
 
I was smoking in my car. Cop rolled in behind and busted me for possession and trespassing. Do i hate him? No.

I hated that cop, i mean, did he REALLY have to pull me over? I was coming home from work for god sakes.

Ah, but there's a difference. GMs are hated when they don't do their jobs. Cops are hated when they DO.
 
I don't have a problem with cops :P I have a problem with some of the laws in this country, like.. oh victimless crimes (aka prostitution, gambling, drugs being illegal etc). While I don't like to do drugs, drink (well most drinks, some are just yummeh <3), don't need a prostitute >.> (gawd eww), don't care about gambling.. it's just stupid they are illegal. The only one who gets fawked over is the person doing them and they do it by choice soooo.. why are they even illegal? stupid stupid laws.
 
Only problem I have with cops is when they flip on their lights to avoid red lights, cross the intersection, then turn them off.

It's generally to protect people, be it the person commiting the crime or someone who could've gotten injured by them. I don't know if you've noticed, but the general populous of the world is incapable of taking care of themselves or keeping those around them safe from their actions.

Well... I mean..things like gambling, doing drugs, drinking, etc don't hurt others, it doesn't cause another to lose their ability to live.. (assuming that's all you are doing). Granted you die from such and it might make people who care about you sad, but then again they should have tried to stop you in the first place. Drinking and driving being illegal makes sense as you can hurt another.. but if you only hurt yourself, who the fuck cares? You chose it, you generally knew the consequences. And if not, I still don't care, too stupid to try and learn the effects.. really don't need that in this world. Let those who are too dumb to realize what they are doing to themselves suffer from it.

I don't want the tax money I pay into medicare going to help retards that hurt themselves doing stupid shit. Until I get to pick and choose where my money goes better, there better be laws to stop them from wasting it.

No offense or anything but spit that first sentence at an acholoholic or a crack-head's kid and see how long it takes to rethink your words. There are certain circumstances where the rules are in place to protect people who otherwise would have no protection whatsoever. Like, what i get from your post is it's ok to keep pills around the house if i take them and fuck my kids for being retarded and getting in to them; as an example. Or moreso fuck my kids by proxy of my lack of grey matter. Now how fair is that either way it goes?
 
Legalize pot. Everything else the government can have. I've tripped enough in my days to know that pot is good and there's nothing worse than a bad trip.

I've been pulled over way too many times to believe that. I'd say I get pulled over 7-15 times a year with no explanation at all.

I get pulled over because they think I'm a d-boy. I even moved to a nice area in Richmond, in 10 months I got pulled over 3 times in my parking lot. Thats just in my parking lot lol, it's a lot of corruption, especially in large cities where cops become callused.

That movie Crash I think gave some of the realest interpretations of what it's like for cops. I'm sure they start out nice guys, but you get used to seeing a certain type of person fucking up, that you expect them all to be that way.
 
My problem with cops isn't what they do, its how they do it. They are always total pricks about everything. Examples:

One night, one of my headlights went out. I left work and got pulled over a few blocks away because of it. I tried to explain to the cop I didn't know it was out, but he was to busy yelling at me about car maintence and responsibility to care. Ten minutes later, I got pulled over again. Different cop, same reason. When I tried to explain that I was literally just pulled over for the same thing, he yelled at me and told me not to tell him how to do his job, which I was very much not doing.

One time I was driving in the left lane and a car next to me in the right lane tried to merge over. I guess he didn't see me, because he came straight at me, causing me to swerve over the median into oncoming traffic for a second. I was able to get back to my lane w/o an accident, and I promptly honked and fliped off the car that almost hit me. As my middle finger reached maximum extension, I noticed it was a cop car. After the next light, he pulled me over and gave me a ticket for driving on the median, despite the fact it was to avoid a crash which he would have caused.

I have never once dealt with a cop who wasn't a total douche bag. I think that's why a lot of people say they hate cops.
 
Several of my best friends are cops so I don't hate them. I've met nice ones and I've met pricks. A lot of people that are attracted to being cops seem to be searching for a feeling of power and superiority over others. Even my friends have said some assholish things that have come from feeling power over others.

Oh well. There are good ones and bad ones just like every proffesion.
