Well, I know the children are really kind of dumb for copying this.. But you know kids, they will do what they see, thinking its okay. Nearly every single kid is like that, and it cannot be helped by anything other than aging.

It's tragic, but it happens. I nearly killed myself when I was a kid playing cowboys and indians. I was going to "hang a horse thief." It could've been tragic, but I only ended up yanking the light fixture out of the ceiling.

My parents were not amused.

So if the kids watching Saddams hanging, and asks how he died, why not straight up tell him the details of that method? On the otherhand, I guess you don't want them to get too desensitized. Watching a Hanging is okay, but telling them how it works isn't.

I somehow don't feel the world is lessened by the passing of children stupid enough to reenact an EXECUTION with themselves as the subject.

It's marginally tragic when a kid kills another kid by imitating something they saw on television. But typically that's something they saw someone SURVIVE, at least. Not "Gee kids, this is how we killed Saddam! Killed, as in dead! Dead, as in no longer among the living, we put you in a box and bury you, DEAD!"

the sorrow is more for what the parents are going through and shit, not the kids themselves. Whats the point in feelin bad for a dead person lol.
 
I think a Darwin Award will be awarded to this individual. Sometimes the amount of blatant stupidity an individual human is capable of staggers the mind.

I actually just saw that movie today, and it made me think of this post. If the world ever become that filled with rampant stupidity I hope someone will see the "pretty red button" and say "Wheeee wunder wat dis dos!" *pushes*
