This fool wants the death penalty, because he knows what awaits pedophiles of his class in the clink. I say lock him up with the biggest, baddest inmate, and let him have his way with the guy a la "Date Rape" by Sublime. Dont give this asshole scumbag the easy way out by executing him. Seriously, I think they should give him the death penalty. However, in a case like this, where evidence is so overwhelming, I would wish that they would speed up the process a bit. It's always so hard to swallow the taxpayers' cost of sentencing someone to death.

Life in prison, overall, is the less expensive route, as you do not have so many hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on appeal after appeal by attorneys trying to "save a life".

Anyway, if sentenced to death, he'd still be in prison at least 7 years, if not twice as long until the deed is actually done.

Why do you think he is 1) acting in his own defense, and 2) making an ass of himself in front of the jury so he is granted the death penalty. It wasnt in this article, but it was in another one where a prison psychologist had examined him and the guy had stated that it was his intention to anger the jury enough to recommend the death penalty. i say lets NOT give him what he wants and have him become someones bitch in jail.

As Hexx previously mentioned it's not in the article, at least written in plain day. However, if you think about it, factor in his lawyer (himself, a deranged person to begin with) and demeanor toward his acts, it's very clear the guy is choosing death. He's made the trial into his own personal comedy act. To be honest, I'm not quite sure why this is even still in trial. It's like the system doesn't want him to be -fully- punished as quickly as possible.

I believe if not sentenced to death he would most likely have chemical castration forced on him. And he is most likely wanting death before losing his little buddy's function and the fact that he won't be able to see children anymore.

It's a sick world out there when someone would rather die than have that happen. I believe he deserves what would cause him the most pain, which would probably be for him to live. But then you have to worry about parole chances and other things.

If he were to get sentenced to life he wouldn't last a week. Inmates have an extreme dislike for anyone who messes with children. So he may make it through the first night if he's lucky, after that and he is as good as dead.

Looking at the charges, he wouldnt have a remote chance at parole. He killed four people (the mom, the fiancee, the oldest son, and the younger son) molested the two younger children AND videotaped it, the deck is heavily stacked against the guy which is why he wants the jury to choose the death penalty. Spending the rest of his life behind bars would be the ultimate punishment because as mentioned A) he wouldnt be able to see any children (and potential victims), and B) he would in turn become the abused not the abuser because yes, even the toughest inmate has a son or a daughter that this could have happened to. He will be a prison bitch for the rest of his life (at least until he decides to fight back and is killed in the process).
