So due to medical reasons and deaths in the family, professionbal workshops etc. I have to take time from work quite often. I went to hand in a request this morning and the secretary who is forever in everyone's business asked me "soooo how many days are you going to take off this year hmmm?" Which I replied with "that's none of your business" and then I caught a bunch of crap from the other people in the office about being too sensitive.

WTF? It isn't anybody's buisness but my boss's and I have more than enough time left to take this day off. Worst part is I'm very non confrontational so me saying "it's none of your business" has got me all worked up now.

/sigh

There are days where I wish Real Life had a Blacklist function.

/comfort :(

Same shit happens to me - although I am not as nice as you LOL I just say "go to hell" or something like that. ;) I always get the them: "How long have you and Josh been together?" Me: "over 6 years" them: "Wow - why aren't you MARRIED yet?!" Me: "I am waiting until I am knocked up, thanks for asking" jackasses. ><

I used to get that all the time too. My hubby and I have been together since I was 14, and dated for 7 years before we got married. What's even worse is now they ask us all the time when we are going to have kids. It never ends.

And thanks guys. I just really needed to get that out. ^^

Heh I am just getting to the point in which everyone is starting to "drop obvious hints" as to when am I having kids, getting married, ect. It is infuriating to be honest. I swear a little over 2 years ago my sister has a kid out of wedlock (she was 26 at the time) and the shit hits the fan, and now my father asks me when am I having a kid. GOOD LORD I AM ONLY 26!

/comfort Summer. Screw wishing you could have blacklist in real life. There are times I'd like PvP

It would be hillarious though if you could have blist in R/L. It would be like watching tv with mute on.

XD PvP

I would cast Blizzaga II on all those nosy people.

mwwaaahhhaa

Thanks Kurgon you just cheered me up ^^

God, blacklist function IRL...

There'd be like 10 people in the whole world that I'd talk to...o_o

People do it all the time. So many don't know when to stop, even if you literally tell them to. That leads me to believe that they have some sort of malicious intent if they deliberately ignore a straight forward request.
I love the shocked and surprised response they give you after you snap on them. "But what did I do"...Try shutting up, Slim.

Last time I saw my father he started telling me about having kids is the most fullfilling thing in the world, blah, blah, blah. I just looked at him and said "Funny, just two years ago you were telling me not to get married and calling weddings public executions." He then looked over to my mom (they are divorced) and looked away sheepishly. I felt bad but at the same time it brings a smile to my face.

Then I simply asked him how often can I expect this type of nudging and he stammered, "I just wanted to remind you." Remind me?! Goodlord I know that I am anti-social, at least in the respect of meeting new people, but I don't think I could have forgotten the joys of a woman along with the headaches.

To quote the lyrical poet Ice Cube:

"I've got a problem solver, and it's name is revolver."

Go to WalMart and pick up a glock9!

Seriously, though. When people pry, I pry right back, and all of a sudden they're on the defensive and completely taken aback. Fun!

In response to the PvP comments...

Does anyone else here wish that we all lived in the time period where it was socially acceptable to challenge someone else to a duel?

mmmmmmmm Pistols at dawn would be fantastic.....No more see you at the monkey bars after school. A little glove slap and a "Sir you have insulted my honor! I challenge you to a duel." Would be great....assuming you have a nice shot...of course....
