dude, there are people (WSM for one) who have avatars roughly 3-5x the size limit... this is pissing me off... huge sigs, it's all cool but when the avatars are to the point they push half the topic off the page something has to be done... :oops:
 
Well i didn't mean to put that thing where the avatar is.I meant to put it under my sig but ehh i dunno how to.Lol i messed aroung with it but its still not working.But yeah everytime i do something out of the way its about time people start whining.

since we are on topic of avatars can i only link an avatar from a pic from a site or can it be on my pc cuz this pics i find are to large and screw up the post like seen above.
 
get some free webspace somewhere and upload it there
 
OK WSM I will go slow for you but it is very simple especially if you had taken 20 seconds to read teh sig is on sopt in the top of your profile control screen the avatar is way in the bottem where it says AVATAR. so in the sspot that says sig is where that pic goes and your all done

what did ya expect he cant work the computer to put his sig in what makes ya think he can operate a scanner properly hehehe

Fixed the image, its now in his signature, doesn't seem to show up in this thread, but in his previous posts you'll see it now.

From the Forum Guidelines regarding Avatars and Sigs.

phpBB officially states the following for the off-site Avatar images:
"Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB."

Reason being is that larger Avatars tend to mess up the board design. I have since found that 100x100 is acceptable as well, beyond that things start to mess with the board format.

Please keep Avatar images to no larger than 100x100 pixels, and no larger than 10kb in file size.


Signature Images

The issue with sig images is a similar one, large ones tend to mess with the board layout.

Please keep Signature images to no larger than 550x200 pixels, and no larger than 50kb in file size.

In addition please use one sig image per post. When replying to a thread you have the option to uncheck "Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)". This is not an issue if you do not use sig images, but does make a difference when someone with a sig image replies to a particular thread 20 times.

It's also really kind of stupid. Not to be all offensive, but these "I hath given my blood sweat and tears under the bright shining moon reflecting off the onyx sea that blows tears across my lonley soul of peril and distrust and angst and stuff that's trying to be deep and intellectual and stuff and stuff and man I sound like an ass when I try to be smart and it's fun to role play but you too can do it without sounding like a really really bad Hallmark card reject" just make me all.......homicidal.
