60 cap was good enough for my 62thf....

i went into a 75 ballista as my blm when it was 62... wasnt pretty.... 14 deaths.... not one kill....... and team lost 114 to 4 to bastok.....
 
I agree totaly its very sad especialy when you give advice in a polite way and someone gets all assholish over it i mean shit noone knows everything and you only learn by asking questions I ask for advice all the time and try to learn from every party I am in. Like another poster said as long you dont give me rude advice or treat me like I am a retard I would love any advice from someone who plays my job

It saddens me I see it all too often lower levels coming up with piss poor attitudes than they wonder why higher level players wont help them
 
This is definately a subject that pisses me off. when I'm in low-mid vl mode, and i make pts, I try to invite DRGs, as i am a higher lvl one. Now, i'll be pting, and they'll be stupid as iunno what, so I'll politely say "Hey, can i give you some advice?" Alot of the time I get, "No, yer a SAM, wtf do you know about DRG" So I'd say, "Hey bud, /check me and look at my bazaar comment." I try to be nice to lower lvls, n00bs, gimps ect. ect. But, this new breed of n00bs, I swear are the most rotten disgusting ignorant and down right snobbish group of all. Like for instance, being a lvl 58 DRG, I was pting in Cape Terrigan. Maseki a lvl 75 DRG says to me "Kyp, i don't wanna tell you how to play DRG, but if you have 100%tp +, why not save jump for TP" I didn't reply, just took what he said into account and did what he said. That wasn't so hard now was it? I mean jesus christ almighty! IF YER GONNA PLAY A DAMN JOB TAKE ADVICE FROM PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY ARE DOING!!!! you don't have to use the advice, but jesus take what you can fuckin get. It may just be very good for yer gaming career >.<
 
I stopped trying to give people advice because they either don't accept it or don't listen. If they ask, that's a whole 'nother story.

As for ballista...

I'm sorta bored with it, all everyone does is just set up so Sandoria has like 5904683944903682 million mages and Bastok or Windurst are left outnumbered with like lvl 54 Dragoons and 1 or No mages. But... it seems new people are starting to play... maybe I'll hit up up a 60 cap this week :twisted:

The very reason that I lost part of my interest in this game was because of this. I myself have played quite alot of jobs and brought 3 of them till 75. I very much know what I am talking about against what mob we face, the peril we face, and so on. I also seen a fair share of each jobs in action, which was good and bad.

People these days takes advices as criticisms, they want freedome and do what they please even at the cost of the other party members. Some defend them because they believe aswell, and also they don't want the group to fall appart. By allowing these "Unwilling to understand" bunch of people creates a whole unpopularity of that job. Rdms who melees during the early stages, and gets away with them will continue to do so. Post 41, they find more confidence in the party since he is vital asset. Thus the noobishness is carried till god knows when till he realise it. On the NA release, everyone have tryed to be the best and learning curve was pretty big. Almost everyone accepted other skilled person's opinion.

Why take advices as criticism? Do you criticise your school teacher since she is trying to educate you? Look people its the same thing, you are talking to a real human being and not against an AI controled NPC. Its the same thing, experienced person trying to advise some others with information from their own experiences. This is not an offline game, you cannot do what you please all the time when involving other people. I pay! So I do what I please! Really do you pay? or is it comming from your parents credit card? (sorry had to say this)

I might sound selfish, but I just had enough about having to deal with these people 70% of the time. I have very little time I can spend so I try to be more productive.

I had no reason not to be polite, I don't see how telling someone why whm sub isn't good for war or telling someone that rng,thf, or war sub is better for sam and why is inpolite. The problem is these people don't want to take advice for what it is, and don't think that just maybe someone is trying to help them out in being a bit better on in their class.

Anyways, about ballista, stfu you Drew, lol. Yeah it was mad fun.. I love ballista.. 30-60 caps are best IMHO. Un capped matches are not as fun, you got people wearing god gear, cure armor and AF2 and so on >.< A lot less kill and a lot more dying, big time for the mages as anyone can now get both utsusemi and melee are that much stronger with their elite high damage ws. 60 cap is my fav because it almost always forces everyone to use mostly AF, which solidfies a class's abilities, so it's more of a class battle then an equipment battle.
 
You have to understand that even if you're polite, you aren't the only player out there who feels the need to offer "advice". There were a whole host of other players before you, and more than likely, their "advice" was less than constructive, and probably not all that useful. We all know how quick many people are to throw around the noob label, and to take any opportunity to brag about whatever, under a flimsy veil of "advice". When I see someone that would warrant constructive criticism, I always assume the person's been criticized a dozen times before, and just hold my tongue. For every one good "advice giver" I've come across, I've probably met twice as many condescending braggarts. It's just not a good group to be associated with. If someone wants advice, I'm glad to help, but I have to be asked.

Actually I felt pretty bad about that day and meant to apologize. That's not what I mean generally by advice though, and I just felt a whm would of been a better choice. Your rdm friend was great tho,lol. Anyways, I had a really bad day, made worse when I got back from work, and even worse as soon as I got online. Looking forward to level 60 and full AF was about the only bright thing that day, so I guess my mood carried over. I was pretty upset about being 2k tnl when the party broke though. ; ;

Looks like we were both having bad days. And I'm sorry about the 2k tnl thing, the reason I never looked for a replacement was because I knew that my rdm friend and PLD friend would leave when I did so I figured the pt would be disbanding anyway. I'm not used to pickup pts these days, I always PT with those 2 or my static. Getting spoiled I think.
 
I tried statics and don't like them too much in general. They just feel limiting to me, I've yet to be asked to join a static that xp's as much as I want to. Now that I'm rdm and invites are a small problem, I think I'll take my chances.
