I, for one, am not very fond of the flameboards. I would rather resolve issues in a constructive manner. Frankly, the flameboard is the last place you'll find any type of constructive arguing. However, there is a time and place for everything. I regret having sit back for far too long, letting this get out of hand.

I am the last of the leads of Invictus. I've already addressed the issue on our linkshell forums. I'll quote it here for convience.

Where to begin?

Now I won't comment on the manner in which Pere speaks to his members. I believe that's between you and him to discuss. We all have our own opinions, and I will leave it at that.

What I will comment on is the supposed lack of assist order. I will admit that I normally give out assist orders before runs, but I failed to do so this time. If you want to blame me, go ahead. I take full responsibility for it. However, this does not change the fact that the assist order should already be cemented in your mind.

GB and Iso, you guys have been around for 10, 15, 20+ runs. The assist order is almost always the same. For example, Morte > GB > Iso was pretty common. Since Morte is no longer with us, everyone effectively moves up a notch. Out of Iso, GB, and Ele, it is quite obvious what the assist order is. GB > Iso > Ele. This is basically based off lvl and gear, but to a higher extent, EXPERIENCE is the main determining factor in an assist order. The person who can select the fastest and accurately, is the person we want to assist first.

I'm very disappointed, to say the least, that you guys could not determine the assist order on your own. We have done numerous runs, some things should be self-explanatory. For example, I can ask almost anyone what comprises the Tank Team, the Nuke Team, and the Pull Team and will get the same answer. LIkewise, I can ask anyone the standard makeup of a DD team and get the same answer. It's things like these that you should be able to do without asking questions. The assist order also falls in this category. Now I'm not saying that GB > Iso > Elle is what it has to always be. The above is merely an outline, a template of what we expect from you. Assist order is always open to negotiation amongst your 2 other PLD tankers.

From now on, this will be the assist order. I'm stating it here so that everyone who reads this, and especially the PLDs will know what to do in the event that this should occur again. If one of the follow cannot attend, everyone is effectively bumped up a notch.

Assist Order: Busso > GB > Iso > Elle

Again, this is merely what I would tell you before any run. However, if all the PLDs agree (before the start of the run), you can change it to whatever suites you.

Anyway, I apologize again for the lack of an assist order. I am only human and do forget things from time to time. I hope I have clearly made my point in this thread. Furthermore, if it will end this thread, I will take full responsiblity for whatever happened during the run. Iso, I am sorry about your experiences today. If anyone else has been offended during this run, I will happily apologize to you as well.

Yes Morte had an attitude problem. Yes Morte was disrespectful of others. He was reprimanded on more then one occasion. Hell, his pearl has been broken twice. The second time being permanantly. Morte knew when he was wrong, and he apologized. As long as someone knows they are in the wrong, and apologizes, warrants a second chance from me. However, the main difference is that Morte never once warped out on us during a run after he had been reprimanded. He never once slacked off his duties after being reprimanded. That alone, in my book, puts him well above those who drop out their teammates.

This... would be not giving an order to a small group & expecting them, when still all fairly new to make this decision on their own. Being rather new & having no prior paladin remaining in the shell attending that night, no one felt right about stepping up & openning their mouth ordering things of their equals. From personal experience I believe the right & best decision would have been to previously set a lead paladin for the tank group. Previously mentioned by Pere himself, Mort used to step up & give orders & all kinds of shit, but he's gone & his leaving obviously wasn't enough of a red flag to try & fill that gap right away, but rather ignore it & expect that everything will just work itself out.

Morte was damn good at his job. His only drawback was his piss poor attitude. Morte did in fact step up to the plate and gave orders. But you know what, none of the leads told him to do so. You know why? Because Morte took the initiative upon himself to make sure one was establish. This is what we are trying to get across. His leaving should have set up red flags to the remaining PLDs that they should fill that gap.

This is not a flame towards anyone. I'm just here to clarify the facts and the reasoning behind it all. The mud slinging has gone on far enough...too far if you ask me. I, for one, am asking you, Isotope, to stop. In fact, I am pleading to you to stop. Hell, I'll even beg you to stop this utter nonsense. You've stated your position, Pere has stated his. Lets leave it at that.

lol reading the first 3 pages i can already see a witch hunt. people dont even read the post they just see the name jin, pere, proph, colbwa and they flame away. pere is a great leader in dynamis.

Dynamis leader should know exactly what works, how it works, and who knows what they're doing. He's just shruging responsibility, claiming sucess for himself when it works, and blaming others when it doesnt.

For us, at the begining of the run, leader shouts out, or ways in LSchat "Tank order is XXX >YYY>ZZZ!" 3-4 times so everyone knows it. This is for two reasons. A) So the TANKS know, and B) so EVERYONE ELSE knows what to set thier macro's to.

Leaders may decide to change up the order to allow newer paladins a chance at being main, or for whatever wierd and strange reason.
Regardless if people know the rules and how everything works, you Still say it at the start of every run. Its called being a leader, try it sometime Pere.

this here show you have little faith in your fellow ls mates. With the above approch, leader gets D/c and shell go into chaos. though in invictus pere has faith that his ls mates to know what there suppost to be doing. If 1 person gone there is no chaos the shell just go on as plan.
dont judge a book by it cover just because pere got a mouth on here dont mean he A bad leader. Just because 1 person had a disagreement dont mean that the whole shell think this.(if this was so there would not be a respectable shell left out there)

There are very few circumstances in which you would hear me light a member on fire in the shell on the first offense. First of which is when someone gives me an ultimatum in my own shell, in front of other members. Every lead has experienced that--if I do or don't do X they will or won't do Y. I tell my members that if they give a public ultimatum, they have already made their decision for me, and there will be no end to how swift the warps come. Divisiveness within the open /ls is a first offense peregrine ass-kicking. We have a forum for issues and problems. I am not a complaint receptacle, nor do I care what your opinion is on a matter in the middle of a run. Sorry, but runs are runs, and I lead the runs absolutely when I lead the runs. I don't lead every run, but I am still charged with the run's success so long as I am present. Everywhere outside, the runs and you are free to raise concerns. It took isotope what...a good 80 posts of worthless forum spams before we even started to get annoyed with him.

Second is when you put my team in danger. People do not acutely respond to politeness. Acutely. When there is danger I want it fixed NOW. Not oh well when yall have the time to sortof fix that...no. NOW. DOIT. No questions. No response. Just action. Acute correction in imminent danger gets you a peregrine ass-kicking, especially if there is fault. If I say don't go past me, and seconds later, there your ass goes down the glacier path, you get my foot in your ass without fail. If you're selecting samurai before a smn, I'ma tell you to take the summoner ASAP. If you select a drk next, you get a peregrine asskicking. If I get melee'd by a carbuncle, the entire sleep force gets an asskicking. There are certain things that send up flashing red flags of imminent danger. In those situations I yell first, ask questions and worry about your touchy-feely level later.

Third is when people just flat-out say something that pisses me off, like "I don't see why I should come to xarc if I can't lot yet." Usually, and unfortunately, it's the new people who say stupid things that piss me off. I usually try to just tell zylia to fix them before I fix them. Sometimes they just say the dumbest things though and zyl can't protect them.

But for everything else, including all errors of INEXPERIENCE, no. You will never see me yell. Never see me insult. Errors of incompetence and laziness. I am INTOLERANT and will remain INTOLERANT.

In any and all games i played, as a leader of any guild or group. It is my policy that because i invited them or allowed them to join up with me, and as a leader... i will take any and all responabilities for their actions.

Yes i have defended assholes in my guilds in previous games because i was their leader and then afterwards dissmissed them because i was sorry that i'm not the type of leader who can lead them. from what i have read pene, you seem to be the type who likes the glory and fame and not when it comes to taking the blame or responsabilties from other peoples actions. This doesn't mean you should take responsabiltiy, it should be the one who recruited isotope. But since it is your LS, Isotope is your member and part of your group. If you cannot handle him, or teach him, and you cannot figure out a way or just don't want to waste time, then you could tell him poliely that you think that you cannot lead him well in your LS and he would be able to flourish better as a player in another LS where someone with a leadership style that fits Isotope better...

Then again this is my view and my conviction when it comes to taking leadership roles.

In the first post i was supprised to see such a rude quote post of pene... then when he started posting, my suspicions were thrown out of the window. You really are "rude" (to say in nice terms)... If you didn't talk like some power-crazed military elite then many more people would side with you. What discredits your arguments or posts in this forum is your style of chatting. it is elegenant in an arrogent way, AKA elitist. This is my opinion, you prob would flame me... But i don't care that much.

The only thing i'm sure of, is that you are an ass. You talk about other member's "ego" issues.. then when it comes to yourself, you aren't going to admit that you have an overinflated ego. True you might be a good player, but there is a clear line between being a leader who knows what he wants and a leader who imitates it.

lol. i haven't been keepin track after page 2... too much readin.. but if he messes up so bad, why did u keep him in the LS so long? in any of my LS that i have created on the 3 servers i play on, i have something called "Council Members", idea i took from Summoner, they are pretty much co-leaders. and if someone really fucks up to the point its annoying, we have a meetin between leader, and Council.. if hes voted out, hes gone... you should really get your co-leaders together and discuss the screwups... before they mess up some more runs...
