Permanently setting forum threads "sorted by from the"..

[deathsvengeance]

Is there a way to permanently set the # of forum threads shown to "in the past year" instead of just the past few days or weeks? Having to click that button all the time when I'm looking for something is a drag, especially considering the search feature always returns stupid results (but that happens on all forums like this).

Yup, it's in UserCP -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options -> Default Thread Age Cut Off

The search has gotten a little bit better since the upgrade from vB 3.5.1 to vB 3.5.2 yesterday, but yeah, it's still not Google. I am thinking to add a Google site search box to the search page, whenever I find the time.
