Earlier today I joined a exp party lvl 67-69 with the intention of playing for 2 or so hours until I had to work. I was 66 just under 950 tnl. I get a call just after we started killing our first mob from my partner at work who was going to pick me up. She was 2 hours and 15 minutes early. With my husband sleeping on the couch, I couldn't let her just sit around my house for 2 hours while I played a game. I did what I had to, I left for work. After the defeat of the first mob, I leveled. I feel bad for leaving when we had only killed one mob. I'm writing this post because I've already gotten one tell in game from someone I know I didn't talk to before I had to leave. Meaning, there was no way they could have known I left for work unless they knew someone from that party. That leads me to believe some ill words were said about my abrupt leave of the party. But I was telling the truth. I'm not the kind of player to skimp out of a Party just because I leveled. Frankly, 441 exp is one crappy buffer for a white mage. I don't remember any of the players names and I don't know if they read these forums, but everybody knows somebody on this server. I didn't want to leave, but I had to. Life happens. Sorry I let the party down.

so wait? If people start saying "Omg you left us!! Bad player!!" would this count as a flame?

If they start doing that, then I'd suppose that it would turn into a flame board.

Well not meant to accuse of being bad player, and she raised me before warping, but if you're going to be worried about through accidental circumstances leaving immediately coincidentally after leveling, I'm sure people think worse of leaving with a person still dead in the party.

I work a lot, so I understand these sentiments. If you couldn't find a raise, and such. I'd let the friend wait for a couple minutes as you explained the situation to the party, and then warp and log out. This way they know, minimal wait time for your co-worker, and everyone should be happy or at least not view you with a discontent. However, this is also why I never party before I go to work. I only party in the evenings after work so that when I wait for a replacement I'm sacrificing my sleep, which is proving to be detrimental.
