I thinking about something that kinda annoys me.
you get into a party to go level or to go do a mission or quest.
you know you have to go through an area where the mobs aggro lvl 75 players
and there always seems to be 1 or 2 people that forget to bring prism powders and silent oils and depend on one of the mages to sneak and invisible them the whole way. these players seem to be the ones always getting aggro or when the spell wears the mage has to go back risk aggro himself to sneak and invisible that player. I never really played any mage job , but i can see how taxing this must be on the mage.I have seen party wipes because someone doesn't have oils or powders caught aggro people go to help and more aggro from surrounding mobs. I 99% of the time have a stack of each on me , I must admit on rare occasions i ran out and forgot to buy some but i usually ask some one to sell me a couple of each before i depend on the mages to sneak me. Does this bother anyone else?

depends..if it was a friend i knew, i wouldn't care..they forgot, with a pt member.. im kinda the same too, however

If they need sneak or invis..it kinda helps when you uh STOP MOVING!! Seriously i had a person who ran around saying they needed sneak/invis and well guess what..they got aggro!!! who knew that could happen? :shok:

I'm sure this is one of the most widespread aggrivations in the game. Worse yet that most of the time, you (as a mage) are usually forced to go help them or else your party will be pissed at you for holding them up and such so people can usually get away with it very easily...

I don't mind giving a pt member an initial sneak/invis before entering an area of aggro to save some supplies and gil, but after that it's up to them.

players that are 60+ that dont bring the proper items are tards. simple as that. theres no excuse to not have them.

how about when you're unfamiliar with an area and you have to drop your invis and rely on the guy who does know the area to guide you and when you sneak/invis him you tell him to wait and he's gone and you're stuck figuring out where the hell to go for exp pt.

People forget that sneak and invis have cool down times so you actually need to WAIT something that also bothers me about 6 seconds for a rdm

happened to me a few times

my personal fav is when you in sky going from genbu island to byrakko island, or your there help them and they dont have the items. One my brothers bad at that. One these days just going let him die.

manaburn pt's FTW, dont need to worry about it

QFT... fucking melees...

Anyways, The other day on my 65 rdm we went out to mt. zhayolm and some dumbass retard JP players all go aggro and died, then i had to sneak all around the fucking zone hunting for their corpses. I hate that crap. Lrn 2 play.

only time i tell people to get item like powder and oil is when an area is wide spread i.e. Ul.Range, or in Sky (magic aggro) other then that, i don't mind sneak/inv people, i just hated sneak and inv are so random, it can sneak off anytime at anyway, i just hated when sneak or inv is wearing when there is no safe place to recast yourself/pt in.

I almost always do the same. If I'm with a group of friends I don't mind as much, but I still have trouble understanding why people don't always carry a stack of oils and powders on them.

Depending on the mob level, you should just let the person die. If someone aggros a mob you know is going to be a pain in the ass to fight or you know will kill you, let them get eaten.

Coming from a mage PoV, I don't care either way. I think mages cry way too much over this. Powders and oils are expensive. When I'm on ninja, I keep oils with me at all times though because I don't want to hear it from mages.

I see where your coming from. tbqh most people dont have the money to foot the bill for Oils and Powders at will.

As a mage, it depends on the zone. If its a zone where there are sneak/invis mobs everywhere, and not many safe places (rarely happens) I mind. But if its through a zone like bhaflau thickets or something, where its not too dangerous and there are places that are safe, I would rather cast sneak/invis to save them the powders/oils.

Edit: most zones xp pts go to are the second type, and so i really don't mind.

Used to have to do this all the time.. Never bothered me so long as they didn't do something stupid and get us both killed. I understand the whole money issue, it is pricey. Though... I'd always have a stack of necessary materials on me when I wasn't a job capable of casting it on myself. If the person in the party was cool about it I'd ask them to cast, if they were a jerk-off I'd use my own to avoid the fight.

Yeah alot of times...not a few.
Such a pet peeve if they run off and i cant target them once i sneaked and invis'ed myself. By the time im ready they're all the way over there or something, it gets annoying.
Friends i dont mind doing that because at least one of them waits for me but forget it when im with some random people; they leave me behind in an instant lol.

And farming 20k isnt all that hard.

That was not about me. I have plenty of gil to buy pots. I am just saying most people dont want to farm just for pots when they can get it for free from any mage

lol If they "forgot" to bring them... I carry a stack of each on me at all times. I'll sell them one of my stacks and take care of myself with sneak/invis. Now, if this proves that they can't afford it, then I make them pay in other ways....
