Peter Jackson's "King Kong"

I caught this movie over the weekend with Neyla and I have to say it: "Wow." This was a great movie, with a good heart and some amazing effects work. I was having a little "Must... not... cry..." moment at the end. It didn't feel like a three-hour movie to me.

Best of all, no Jessica Lange.

I joked with Neyla that George Lucas should turn Peter Jackson loose with the Star Wars franchise. It would be nice to have those brilliant effects supplementing a great story instead of trying to gloss over a really bad one.

Amazing movie. I really enjoyed it.

Many of the people I spoke with were concerned that jack black's acting was going to be horrible. But I felt he played his character fairly well.

I saw about 2 hours of it. I went with my friends and went you go with friends (like mine at least) you dont really watch the movie. We laughed the whole time and im sure we ruined it for the other ppl ; ;. we left about 2 hours into it cause we had to go to a party. From what I actually paid attention to it was pretty good.

I really enjoyed this movie. I have to say, it's the first time in a while I feel like I got my money's worth out of a movie. $7.50 is a lot to pay for a movie to me, but this one was really good! I didn't realize it would be a tear-jerker cause I figured King Kong = bad, therefore he should die. But that is soooo not the case.

P.S. No, I never watched the previous movies because the effects & pictures were horrible.

Good remake. I liked it, but nothing compares to the original 1930's flick. Thats the best one. At least for me.

Oh god it was soooooo long. It took way to long to get to the island, I was bored outta my mind. The action was really cool and fun (loved the T-rex scenes, they blew my mid) Then it took forever to kill the damn ape.
It seemed like jackson was trying to force the love story too much. I couldn't believe how big Brodys nose is, it didnt seem that huge in the village. The acting was good even though the main actress hardly had any lines.

Over all I liked it for the action and hated it for the forced love story and streched scenes.

lol no. I wish I would have stayed trough the movie. I did like it, but we realy did had to go ; ;
