Peter Jennings.....

Was wierd...it was like he had cancer one day...and it ate him up the next. I watched this guy from the time I was a wee lad at the age of 7 until now at almost 21 and I must say it is disheartening to see such a man go. He delivered the news but it feels like he was a good neighbor who lived next door to me for 15 years and was a friend...

I was pretty sad to hear this news as well. Peter Jennings was on the family television almost every day when I was younger and he was the one who felt real and approachable during 911. He's gonna be missed.

I watched him a long time as well. My uncle had a form of lymphoma and while out visiting friends in the midwest he acquired hoof and mouth disease which seemed to spread his cancer faster than normal. I saw him one weekend before I went camping and talked to him, a week later he was unable to talk and shortly thereafter passed away. Cancer can hit fast if you dont get checked up regularly. Good bless him and Peter Jennings both good people that I watched and followed for many years (in different aspects but still sad to see good people pass on)

My family used to sit down and watch ABC news every night. It was routine to see him on television.

The symptoms are easy to overlook in some cases. Lung cancer is difficult to treat since the lungs and pulmonary systems are vital to life. Each cancer case and patient is different. Some are easily treatable while other types may need intensive procedures.

Dealing with a death of a person with cancer is a devastating blow. I hope his family and everyone who loved and supported him will be okay through this.

Although… I wonder if world news tonight will still keep his name up and if they have decided who will anchor the program in his place...

Definitely sad to see him go. One of he most recognized people of our times, to be completely honest. (I mean come on... who doesn't know about Peter Jennings?)

Like many others, a regular sight on the television in my house just about everyday. A great man, who will be sorely missed.
