After a month of inactivity, I make my triumphant return as a denizen of Vana'diel once more.

But I have to ask, as this bothers me currently..

What happened to make Phalanx drop from 70k+ down to 7k-10k tops? Not that im complaining as it was missing from my repitoire, but still. One must known. Did other things start to drop it? Or like, is it a more common drop via bcnm's? Or was there just a surge of them on the market.

Curiousities abound.

The BCNMs that those 2 scrolls dropped from were not popular, because the only loot worth getting from then previously were the scrolls themselves. Now Phalanx & Erase come from the same BCNM that Peacock Charm was added to, and as you might imagine, it gets done to death, making the scrolls, which appear more frequently than the necklace, relatively common.

In the process of trying to get 1 peacock charm, I've seen about 8 of each scroll, and still never got the necklace.

That happened with a lot of things. Philomath stole went from almost never being on the AH, to having numerous postings.

Then again, they keep taking money out of circulation and everything in general keeps dropping in price.

when the kraken bcnm first came out it was only 6k thats how i got mine off of ah

it was a very cheap item anyways so not suprised its not on ah
