i have set up a run on friday (today), went sorta well, but ppl had to go and some just left. Well, it got very stressful to run it when everyone was doing their own thing and not listening, and even lottin on 2 GB6 items even tho i previously stated you only able to get 1, let others have a chance.

after people dying couple times, 1 person leaves, we go o well, its not a biggy but we found out that that person left becuase ppl were pulling with R0 and lagging out people and afk ppl (actully the ppl who pulled wernt the rngs)


so after 1-3 fights it went bad and greed prevailed, so me and 2 other people warpd out w/o notice, yes i know im a jackass for doing it, but it wasnt worth my time to take care of couple ppl who think they can do w/e they want and still get w/e they want.. and this leads up to my

1-2 month Take Break From FFXI!!! (plus i got no money for may so that fits well into it) hope to be back in june, Good Bye For Now!

You were the leader and you bailed out on us.
You mega-ass.
You organised the god damn event and you bailed on us.
You really should have been prepared for any problems that could have come up. Especially the stress.

Even if you didnt think you would win it is bad policy to lot on items that you wouldnt need anyways or pass as soon as you lot if youre messing around. Imo that 2nd one should have gone to the 2nd highest lot, not to someone of your choosing, hence defeating the purpose of /random.

I'll be so glad when me and the rest of the next wave of prom runners do this. We got our shit together.

Yes, I know this post is going to get flamed to hell, but I think some of the people here need to learn how to arrange events.

Since we haven't done the subligars yet we can't do that to make a comparision, but dig up the old Prom-dem/holla/mea threads and then look at the current ones.

You'll notice a difference.
 
yes i know blah blah i shulda done this and that and this and that, but no1 listend, so why the fuck shuld i stay around while no1 is doing what the leader said? i shuldnt, even tho i didnt like leaving ppl behind, i felt guilty but i aint staying for fuckn idiots who dont listen (sorry to thoser ppl WHO actully did listen)

Thats bs I give him props for staying as long as he did, people we uncooperative and rude. A total waste of my night :roll:

After the 18-person alliance was boiled down to 8, we were able to go around and get almost everyone their subligars (and some people two). You CAN do the 'ducts with only a few people, it just takes teamwork and dedication.

agreed but with 18ppl, its not easy, ppl needing this and that and gettn aggro and not listening and even pulling when ppl lagging out... or even afk...
 
yes I probably should have passed the second one or at least had people /random for it. In my defense however, I was lagging so bad with a ton of people I didn't know I had gotten both until people started saying congratulations. Everyone lotted both ingots, I also couldn't tell what would have been the second highest lot on the second one. I should have had everyone /random for it, but yeah, by that point everyone was bickering and/or not listening to anyone else so I gave it to someone instead of having people /random.
 
18 man alliances are and always will be a collosal waste of time and effort. The sheer logistics problem of keeping 18 peeps together makes doing the Ducts far more difficult then they should be. I would definetly say a 12 man group is by far your best chance of suceeding.
 
I mentioned during the event. "Next time only get like 8-10 people. 18 people are too hard to control." ^^
